Charles & Keith's prices are somewhere between cheap and expensive, depending on when you choose to shop. Sale seasons can sometimes yield positive shopping results, but more often than not, items for sale are slow-moving for a reason: they're just not very nice.
I've only ever bought one pair of shoes from Charles & Keith though for some reason, I almost always look around their store whenever I'm at Power Plant, which is my mall of choice. Once in a while there's a really pretty style, but more often than not there's something that turns me off. Maybe it's a misplaced embellishment or a strap that's about half a centimeter too thick... There's always something. It's like their shoe designers come up with a really fantastic, fashionable design, and then come execution, the shoemaker takes it upon him/herself to add a tacky personal touch to what otherwise would have been a really fantastic shoe.
Having said that, this is not to say that it's impossible to find good pairs in Charles & Keith. The good designs do make it to production untarnished once in a blue moon, and it is a shopaholic's duty to catch them while they're still available in-store. This may be why I keep visiting the branch despite my consistent decision not to buy their shoes.
As a side note, the one pair I did buy from them are AWESOME and are my favorite black heels. This is precisely what I mean by catching the good designs. read more
