If you're looking for a hairstylists who listens to what you like and what you don't like, she's your girl. She really made sure the final look was exactly what I wanted and I appreciate that so much! I haven't done highlights in years so I was pretty nervous but the color turned out so beautiful! The salon itself has such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, everyone there was so nice! Definitely will be going back! ‍

I made an appointment with her for time reasons trusting her instagram posts. On arrival to the appointment I showed her a previous cut for reference and I told her I wanted a short framing in the front and bangs. The appointment went ok, the chat was pleasant. She did a wet cut which is ok and as soon as she was done she did a blow dry to my hair without showing me my hair length or shape BEFORE stylizing my hair. I was ok with that since I showed her a reference picture and I was trusting her skills. I had to keep asking to do my bangs shorter since she kept leaving them too long but she did. Once the appointment was done she showed me the back of my hair with a mirror and with the blow dry she did it looked good but I definitely couldn't tell about the actual shape since she styled it and I decided to trust the process. The next day after washing and doing my hair normally I did notice that the framing I asked for was not symmetrical and some of my clumps looked extremely uneven/flimsy; along with realizing that the back looked like it had a straight cut so I panicked because I had my wedding coming up next week and my hair turned out not how I asked. Uppon realizing that I send her a text asking if she does corrections/adjustments for previous haircuts and then I proceeded to sent her images via Instagram going into detail, I asked if she could squeeze me before or after her scheduled appointments but she took about 22-23 hrs to respond and her response was telling me that I could've said something when I was still on the chair and that she will not give me a full haircut (I never asked ask for a full haircut, I just wanted corrections about framing and the general shape if possible). Her response came out as unprofessional and entitled in my opinion which left me absolutely no desire to come back. A couple minutes after she sent some other messages with a less rude demeanor but after the initial "you could've said something here" and the unnecessary "and I won't be giving you a full haircut" I wasn't feeling like trusting her with my hair. I will leave the screenshot and images for reference to be transparent. It definitely seems like she got offended somehow even when the haircut she gave me looks nothing like what I asked. Seems like the problem to her is that I trusted her skills and I didn't micromanaged the haircut. Leaving 2 starts because the service was ok, she definitely knows how to cut hair, but for experienced curly/wavy girlies I would advice to skip the service and go to an specialist. You do get what you pay for when it comes to textured hair.

I…read morewent initially for color, but then trusted her to trim up the curls a couple of weeks later after deva style cuts had left me choppy in the middle. If you've got curly hair, you know the therapy-requiring trauma haircuts can create. None needed. She got it right. Additionally, she told me what she was doing and why, as she was doing it. I received a lot of product education without a push to buy a thing. In short, a very nice experience, and the prices are more than fair.

The vibe in the studio is chill. One thing I will say I have never been to any upper-class hair Studios however at first it struck me as strange that they stack clients instead of just booking you they kind of titrate and stack clients while my colour is processing. She has another appointment and I guess it leaves more money for the practitioner which is amazing. I don't know that any other place is doing this method I have only ever been to very basic walk-in hair salons so I don't know if this is customary but everything is very orderly and timed here if you arrive on time for your appointment, you will leave on time. Everything runs very smoothly. The staff here is wonderful and very detailed oriented. If you have any hair goals you can definitely get there. They definitely care about you and your hair hair. I will say it is definitely on the more expensive side but you absolutely get what you pay for and all of the products they use in the salon are amazing high-quality products that are good for your hair if you are looking for a salon to invest in yourself and your hair this is the place for you!! I don't know that I would go anywhere else for my hair! I always get her to style my hair too when I get it done I think I come every 6 to 8 weeks and it's worth it to have her style it as well. I look awesome for the next few days also I have given her such vague her instructions because I'm really not sure what I want and she completely nailed it every single time I have never been even a little bit disappointed.

I am willing to update this review as I've been here once before and did not have issues. But…read moreyesterday I had walked into this place for a small hair trim just to get my ends healthy. She tells me it's $10 extra bc my hair is oily and she has to wash it. I said that's fine. And then she sits me in the chair after the wash and starts brushing my hair. She yanked at my earrings about THREE times. I had on small gold stud earrings by the way, not dangly or long. It obviously hurt and I told her atleast 5 times do not reduce the length- she reduces the length up to my shoulder, my hair was at the bottom of my breast / upper stomach length before the cut. And the final straw was her starting to blow dry my hair aggressively- I could literally see the fresh cut hair getting damaged in real time. The heat was so high I told her to turn it down as it burned my scalp. I told her to stop doing it and said I don't need styling and then the crazy thing is she insists and says "I want to show you how it looks" and proceeded to style my hair in this manner. I paid $30 at the counter. This haircut was from HELL and I would have been better off going to great clips.

Pros: -Very reasonable prices…read more -Decent haircut -Friendly staff Cons: -Place needs to clean up a little before someone sits for a haircut. -Stylists talk way too loud amongst themselves while the haircut is in progress and it is not a one off incident. Often I see The teachers sitting most of the day and talking to each other and/or their "favorite students" and getting services done instead of helping the others and they visibly look and act annoyed when you interrupt their conversation to ask them a question or for help. One of my biggest problems with the school is that it is so overcrowded in the main area. They accepted WAY too many students and now we all don't have room to even walk without trying to not bump into someone's tool kit or mannequin. Most days if you arrive on time you have to get a table that's pushed up to the wall and has no power plug in sight. Then you get handed a client and are expected to just find a station and be 100% prepared right off the bat. They also don't accommodate people with allergens because whenever we have something that takes up our lunch, like a presentation or a zoom call, they order pizza and that's it. I know two people that have gluten allergens who've asked what to do for lunch since they can't leave and there isn't food that's edible to them and the response they've gotten was "DoorDash or don't eat" which is crazy. When we take lunch breaks we have to eat in our cars since they took the tables that were in the lunch room and put them in the main room because of the crowding problem. When you bring up the issues to the staff they reply with "this is what working in a salon/ hair industry is like" but I don't think any salon has Disney music playing all day and your leaders don't want to help you. I've had instances with teachers where I forgot something once and they dig into me about my unprofessionalism to the point where I've left in tears because of the harsh words they said and I know others who have had the same experience. If you want to go to a school where you basically teach yourself everything and get little to no help I recommend Paul Mitchell.
