He not only cared about our family, but all the people coming to pay their final respects......it was a hot day and they set up a table with cold drinks and goodies while people stood in line outside. I just attended a viewing on a very cold night and saw the same care given once again....... we waited outside in line with heaters, hot beverages and goodies. The caring and services offered doesn't end when your loved one's funeral is over. Grieco Family Funeral Home offers a Grief Journey Workshop, all are welcome. Another beautiful gesture is the Service of Remembrance; once again, open to all who wish to attend. My first attendance to this service was with a dear friend who also lost her husband. We both left with a new feeling after a wonderfully planned night where we listened to a guest speaker, were entertained by wonderful musicians, enjoyed delicious food, shared memories, laughter and tears with others in the same situation. The special touches they provided made the service memorable and meaningful. We kept receiving calls days later on how beautiful the service was. We visited other funeral homes however, they did not provide the same type of service as Houck and Gofus. We were told on several of our requests that the family would have to provide. For example, military honors. We were told we would have to arrange. Tyler and Kelsey made all of the arrangements, we did not have to make one phone call. We even stopped by in the evening without an appointment. Tyler, without hesitation, stopped what he was doing and invited us in and reviewed the information and answered all of our questions. This was great customer service at its best! The very next morning we met with Kelsey and the arrangements were made. Living in Phila, this was extremely helpful. We did not have to go back and forth, Tyler and Kelsey arranged everything for us from the flowers, military honors, death certificates, a pastor and pictures for both the obituary and slide show. We did not have a repass, Kelsey provided a local caterer who provided the delicious box lunches. Grumpy's was able to cater the event, the ordering was done over one phone call; it was all very hassle free. I cannot stress that enough! I would definitely recommend Houck and Gofus. They are extremely professional and extremely proficient. Did I mention they are really genuine nice people. They get back to you right away and they never made us feel like we were bothering them with our questions. Please do not go to anyone else, make Houck and Gofus your choice for your loved ones. They provided accurate estimates up front by first visiting the cemeteries and inspecting the broken tombstones. They used professional materials and methods for these repair and preservation efforts and provided digital photos of the finished repairs.
