This two level dep is more than it may seem from street level; where you mostly see a wall of beverage fridges. Which in and of themselves have a pretty elaborate selection. They have many types of energy drinks, sports drinks and even Asian specialty drinks. To the left of these fridges is a partial set of stairs. Once on the upper level you will find out why this depanneur is called charcuterie. They also have meats and cheeses for sale and have several ready made sandwiches - of which the tuna avocado combo on pumpernickel is my favourite. They also have bagels and cream cheese. Not to mention almost any kind of small item you might need while travelling or at home - in other words a bit of this and a bit of that. Sewing kits and cleaning products, plus beer, chips and snacks. Basically what makes a convenience store handy. This one in particular just happens to have been running a very longtime by the same family who work very hard and is deserving of the repeat customers they have plus the many new ones (tourists included) who pass by. I would imagine they are happy to find a place to get things on the go with friendly service. read more
