Burgers are their thing with a wide selection of beef burgers as well as a small selection of chicken and veggie burgers, this place has a little something for everyone. If you're feeling a bit peckish and up for a food challenge, the Chip Inn has their very own mountain burger to conquer. Loaded with beef patties, cheese and chips to name a few ingredients, finish the mountain within an hour at the shop and you can get your photo on their wall of fame! This is a great take on a classic fish and chip shop and something special for the outer suburbs, so if you are a local of just in the area, pop in for a bite.

This is my first one star review. I feel the need to…read morejustify it so I will. I came to Chew yesterday. The gentleman at the counter told me it would be at least 30 minutes till my burger came out. Seeing the row of dockets on the wall I said no problems. Thanks for letting me know and left. Today I tried again. The row of dockets less full than yesterday. Awesome and to be expected as its Sunday. Happily ordered a 3072 and a fries which I had asked the lady if they would be able to do a half serve in Ghost Chili Salt and the other with Parmesan salt. She said she will let them know. 35 minutes later despite having 3 people in the store and after about 20 orders have gone via uber eats and next door to Racoon Club. I have a burger and fries and I'll get to that but first let me talk about how a eat in establishment should present themselves: 1. Be warm and welcoming. 2. That's pretty much it. I can only assume Chew is trying to save money on refrigeration because they keep the door open in winter. The customers that are sitting eagerly awaiting their food were wearing their jackets and beanies. INSIDE. It was freezing. I have no idea why any eat in establishment should be designed to be that cold but it is hugely inappropriate. Now for the food. Before I ever got my food beyond feeling hypothermic I was interested to see the familiar brands of Birds Eye and Kailis Bros fine frozen products (shoestring fries and tempura onion rings) but that's less relevant. The burger was completely adequate. The bun was cool because they keep toasting bread even though that's a relatively quick part of the burger process so there is always toasted bread ready for when all the other elements are ready. Toasted but not warm. The veggies and sauce were all lovely. Burger was somewhat pink. Can't complain too much there. Overall the burger was 3/5 My fries the chef had nicely coated in Ghost Chili salt. All of them. When someone recounted my order with half ghost chili, and half Parmesan salt he kindly dusted some Parmesan over the top of it and sent it my way...not impressed. Now beyond that the food at Chew is PERFECTLY seasoned. So much so that salt and pepper are not necessary items on the tables for the dine in customers. When approaching the counter to ask for some salt the massive salt was brought to give my fries a healthy shake before it returned home on the chef's line. Conclusions: I think that Chew Burger might be an adequate burger but this experience was atrocious. From the indoor temperature, to the time (and associated lack of disclosure), to the fries and not owning the order and just trying to settle for mediocrity. I think as a food option for Raccoon club it is great (but that's mostly due to Raccoon club being great about allowing outside food into their establishment). However as an eatery standing on its own two feet it failed spectacularly. If I was to go to Chew again I would only do it in the context of going to Raccoon club or as an Uber eats option.

Social media and their pictures of beautiful milkshakes led me to poking around the internet which…read morefurther led to a drive to Campbellfield. What I met there changed everything. The set up is different, and like as if they took a tip from the whole food truck craze. You order outside from a fixed stand and take a number to sit either indoors, or in their outdoor seating area. The indoor section has a playpen for the kiddies and wood panels surrounding the wall. There's a steady stream of people, which I always take as a good thing. The first visit was strictly a milkshake mission. The Ferrero Rocher was perfect and complete chocolate hazelnut, not a let down. The Creme Brulee was good too, but I wish I ordered the Ferrero Rocher. Both were thick, but not too thick, just a really good consistency. And sweet, but not too sweet. The second visit involved going all out with their menu choices: a herb crusted chick burger, Raffaelo shake and waffle cheese fries. And all I can say is whoa. This meal is not meant for one. There's no way. I was happy with everything, but it was so overwhelming to try and finish everything. The chicken burger was a handful on a lovely Sourdough bun, and had a rich Alfredo sauce. The waffle fries were yummy but had a thick and heavy three cheese sauce. The shake was beautiful and just like liquefied Raffaelo, which is exactly what you'd want it to be. It was a learning experience, next time would be one or the other (burger vs waffle fries), the shakes are a must. Or maybe I'd split the burger and still have the shake and fries. I'm not sure, but what I do know is that I won't do all three at once again. Plus side: open til 11pm on weekdays and midnight on Friday & Saturday.

It is easily accessible via public transport, with a bus stop close by. We were a little confused upon arrival as there is a burger track situated at the front - so we thought that Burgies might have been a burger truck and not a 'dine in' kind of experience... but we soon realised that they had both indoor and outdoor seating, and the truck was there to take orders. We were greeted by a friendly staff member at the truck, and all the staff members we encountered there were very hospitable and sociable. We both ordered 'The Lava' burger with an added patty, waffle cheese fries with added avocado, and gelato thick shakes - one being Strawberry Cheesecake and the other Ferrero Rocher. Price wise they stack up pretty well against their competitors. Their most expensive burger is $12.00, and to add-on a beef patty only costs an extra $2.50 - which is amazing value! They have a range of burgers including beef, chicken, lamb and vegetarian options. Their shakes and sides were around average price. We were given a restaurant pager, and then took a seat inside. The venue is really great! We loved the set up, and we loved the use of the crates on the walls which tied in with the industrial area. It has a modern interior, and even had a play pen for kids which we thought was a great idea for families that visit! It wasn't long before our pager went off, so we went and grabbed our food. Everything looked delicious, and we were particularly excited about the waffle fries. They tasted scrumptious! Lovely and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The avocado and cheese sauce went really well with them, and the serving size was definitely decent. 'The Lava' burger was really yummy too! The patty was spicy, which we did not initially realise, but it was enjoyable. The tasty cheese, egg and caramelised onion tasted really nice together, and the lettuce gave a bit of refreshment to break down the spiciness and warmth. We quite enjoyed the mild-peri sauce too! The shakes were thick and creamy, and conveniently given in take-away cups. We were impressed by the overall location, service and food at Burgies - and highly recommend that you check them out.

I will start by saying, and I guess this will form the majority of my review, but this place was really hard to judge. For those who have been to Burger Lounge in Eltham, it had a similar feel right from checking it out on the website, and all the way to ordering my burger. And, yes, they are in a similar area, (and I know this doesn't apply to everyone) but I really enjoyed driving AWAY from the city to find a good burger in a much quieter part of town - it really gives an adventure type of feel. It was reasonable cost wise, and my request to double up on the beef (as I was slightly surprised there wasn't a double patty burger) for $2 made me happy. The $2 side of chips would've been worth $8 too at Grill'd, which was another tick. The burger itself whilst still being enjoyable was missing something small - maybe a special sauce or something of the like! Turkish buns were used too, and I haven't had too many amazing burgers with them unfortunately. So ideally I'd love to give it 3.5 stars, as the experience itself is rather enjoyable (I can't stress this enough), however the burger itself was good without being amazing.

Not once have they left me disappointed or fretting over something that could have been better. So, let's get to it. Their menu has so much going on. There's chicken, lamb, fish, beef, plenty of vegetarian burger options and even salads, if you don't want to go the meat route. Each of their burgers has so much variety, you could take some time just reading what's in each one before picking. For me, the Greek burger stood out at once. Like I said, they have so much going on, packed with flavor from the different ingredients and toppings. The burgers are always juicy. The bun doesn't fall apart on you. But it is the type of burger that requires two hands. You need to pick it up and then don't stop eating until you finish it. Or else, it can and will be messy. You've been warned. The Greek burger was composed of lamb, olive tapenade, eggplant, feta, and everything together made this burger so tasty and delectable. It was perfect until the very last bite. The herbed chips are also worth noting, because they are so good. Now, I can't see the reasoning behind why the other reviews on this establishment are so here and there and all over, all I know is that The Burger Lounge has always kept me happy.

Think: In and Out meets Shake Shack. There's over the top versions with truffle mayo and mac n' cheese croquettes, but I prefer to keep it simple with a single stack burger and the addition of jalapeños. What sets Royal Stacks apart from other local burger options is the service and the environment which lends itself well to family and friend groups eating together. Large table configurations as well as smaller ones for couples. A staff member welcomes you and helps you find a table and another will pop past during the meal to ask how everything is going. It's a small extra that's totally unexpected in what is otherwise a fast food-esque experience (order and pay at the counter, collect your tray when ready) but it does make everything just that little bit nicer especially when there's kidlets in your group.
