I got the wings with the sweet and spicy sauce they are the best wings I ever had. I especially like that they are grilled over charcoal and they have that smoky flavor. The chef also brought out ranch and bbq sauce to try with the wings as well as some salads. Honestly, you truly can't beat the service and the food at this establishment. You can tell the chef takes great pride in what he does and is passionate about making excellent tasting food. So excited to have this spot in town! We have tried a couple different items and every single one has been incredible. The grilled steak and grilled chicken bowls were very generously sized and the meat was cut to order. The toppings are super fresh and it's clear everything is made in-house. The whole chicken grilled on a flame is to die for; smokey, crispy skin and seasoned perfectly. Definitely will be one of our regular orders! The staff was very welcoming and created a family-like atmosphere that we will keep coming back to. It's a very cozy and casual space and the Homer Glen sign is such a lovely little touch. Ordered from this location 3 times already and every time the food was excellent. Appreciate the fact that theres a middle eastern restaurant close to the south suburbs. Went to Char & Coal late Friday night with my family and had such a great experience. The owner went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which you don't see every day. We ordered Family Meal #1 and it was delicious -- plenty of food, great flavors, and you could tell it was made with care. This spot is new to the area, but with food this good it deserves to be around for a long time. Definitely a must when you're in the area! read more

I've ordered from here twice. Both times were delicious. However, I ordered the same thing. The chicken, sweet potato bowl and both times were very different from each other. The first time the potato wedges were huge and they put lettuce and rice in my bowl and gave two pitas. This time the sweet potatoes were tiny, only rice and no pitas until I asked. Giving four stars just because the consistency was not there but good food. It's a newer restaurant so I'm hoping they work the kinks out. read more

I ordered both the beef and the chicken Shawarma wraps. The food was very good and the service was OK. The ambience was more of a fast food place. I would like to have seen my Shawarma cut directly off of the spit, as both wraps were taken from pre-cuts. No complaints. The food was good, but I'd rather see it freshly cut.
