2.5 so I won't bother upgrading to 3 rn. Shopping at this modest location is so hit or miss. On my last couple of tries, I had to settle for things that had way better alternatives online, but they won't let you pick up at a store, and I'm all about avoiding the wait times you pay shipping for. I needed a daily planner. I was looking for one that went more than one year. They had a display sign saying that section was that, but it was 16 month planners with 4 months already past. I scrounged and found only one expensive option that didn't even have daily pages after 2025, only monthly overviews. I broke down and bought it because I was tired of looking online and in-store for what I was after. Lesson learned. Try Staples first next time. I like to browse while I'm there. I had to investigate the whole store to find where they moved everything. That's all fine, but some of the shelves are too high for the usual tags, and some are not up against walls so again, no clear signage. As I browsed the puzzle selection, which is pretty good in terms of selection, I encountered yet another obstacle with lack of pricing. Some of the boxes were properly labeled with price tags, but the one I really liked had nothing. That whole section had no tags on any of the boxes. I analyzed every side and edge of the box to see if it had an MSRP price printed. Nope. I also browsed the "fluff" merch throughout the store, as it's generally cute. Not cute enough to justify the prices most of these things command. $9 for a small box (20 pcs) of small size children's bandages? Get them from IKEA. I'd say the redeeming feature is the staff who have been serving me lately. It's OK sometimes if you're in for something you already know they have in stock. This review marks my writing 2000 Yelp reviews. It boggles my mind. I never thought that I'd have that much to say. With so many business out there, I suppose that it makes sense. Before I joined Yelp, I spent a lot of Sundays at this particular Chapters in Woodbridge. Back then, there was HMV and California Sandwiches within the same plaza. I'd get my bookstore, music, and veal sandwich fixes before heading home. These days, everything but HMV is still there. It had been ages since I dropped by this Chapters. Last Saturday, I was in the area and went back to check it out. There is still a lot of parking in front of the bookstore. I backed into a spot and headed over. This Chapters has a Starbucks. What's different during the pandemic is that there are separate entrances for Chapters and Starbucks. You can't meander from one place to the other within the store anymore. I was advised by a staff member that the washrooms aren't available. There was also hand sanitizer if you needed some. Other than the cool, new merchandise, the store has the same feel as I had remembered it. I loved the arts and crafts that you can get. There were collapsible drinking tumblers and mugs that were cool. I enjoyed browsing in the cookbook section. It felt normal browsing stationery and Funko Pop figurines. The discounted items are located at the back of the store, in the travel section. It was as close as I'm going to get these days to travel... haha! I managed to pick up a Choco plushie from the Line collection. It was regularly $30, but I managed to snag it for $12. I lined up to pay for my item. I got a nice woman who helped me out with my transaction. She asked if I needed a bag. I declined. I also collected whatever Plum rewards that came out of this transaction. It was great returning to this store after many years. I hope to come back again soon. I do miss finding a comfy chair in the bookstore and reading. I will do that again once this pandemic is over and I am more comfortable doing so. (126) read more

A great book store with a Starbucks inside which is great as you can browse though the books with some coffee This is a store which satisfies ones soul surrounded by books with some really great books They order if your book s not available Very well organized with great and helpful staff The books are divided into different sections like biographies, self help, which is very helpful and helps to find what you are looking for however they are kind of steep Definitely more than Amazon. Love the little other gifts and toys stuff they keep with books makes it more interesting I always end up buying something with the books read more

Chapters seems to have more toys and gifts than books now a days. From walking around I didn't find 1 chair that allowed someone to sit and browse through a book. I remember coming years ago and seeing plenty of reading spaces...I guess they we're replaced by all the displays for LEGO and boardgames in the kids section. Overall it's a clean store with neat shelves and staff members regularly walking the floor. Music is appropriate for a bookstore and not too loud. You'll find people sometimes sitting on the floor in between aisles reading but that's mainly due to the lack of chairs. The Starbucks attached provides the only area where there is ample seating. Prices are typical for a big box bookstore. I've found plenty of books on sale for cheaper on Amazon. Unless I'm in a rush to purchase a book or magazine I don't think I'll do much shopping here. read more

Chapters is a book enthusiasts nirvana. I love browsing through the racks of magazines at the front of the store before heading back into the books. The selection is amazing and if there's a magazine out there...they will most likely have it. The books are divided into sections - Fiction, Non-Fiction, Biographies, Self-Help, Photography, etc., etc. so it's fairly easy to peruse the aisles in sections you're interested in. While I find their prices to be a lot higher than Costco, the Coscto selection is very limited. Staff picks (meaning a staff member has reviewed the book and recommended it) are usually on sale..usually at around 30%. As an added bonus there's a Starbucks attached to the store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable on their recommendations. read more

having recently lost our local chapters(Queensway) this is a close location to my work, which is a great option to run over to, on a lunch hour. even better if you can reserve the items ahead of time to make it a quick in and out. this location has a great selection of books on hand, great staff, with lots of parking. a bonus feature is that like a lot of locations, this is paired up with a Starbucks. read more
