During her first year, she attended in person until March 2020. Then most of her classes were online except for a yoga class. As with other online students, she did not really get to know other students in real life. Classes. She enjoyed all her anthropology classes; foreign-language classes were good but were hard online. Math classes were OK. No class was bad. Most professors were good and transitioned effectively to online teaching. Campus. In fall 2019, the campus was often busy, and was less busy on Fridays. From April 2020 through summer 2022, the campus was largely empty as most students were online. The cafeteria was good before it closed for the pandemic; it is still closed. Our daughter liked the food trucks and coffee cart! The library is a good place to study. IVC still offers free parking and students can ride OCTA buses for free.

I went in today for a clean up around the ears. I also opted to have my hair washed, more practice for the students. Ella was Fantastic, I even shared with her my favorite soap I use for my hair! I will be back in 4-6 weeks! Before she graduates, because her service was excellent!

SABA Beauty Academy -- More Than an Academy, It Became Home…read more Choosing SABA Beauty Academy was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I came here to learn esthetics, but I walked away with so much more than a certificate -- I gained confidence, resilience, discipline, beautiful memories, and a family. From the very beginning, SABA created an environment where I felt supported, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. The education is hands-on, practical, and prepares you for the real world of esthetics. I learned so much about skincare, facials, skin analysis, sanitation, massage, advanced treatments, and so many other essential skills that I will carry with me throughout my career. But I have to give a very special thank you to Ms. Asmi. There are teachers who teach you a subject, and then there are teachers who leave a permanent mark on your life. Ms. Asmi is the second kind. She didn't just teach me esthetics -- she taught me resilience, patience, courage, and how to believe in myself even on the days when I doubted myself. Over these past few months, she became so much more than an instructor. She became someone I genuinely looked up to, trusted, and appreciated. Her encouragement, patience, high standards, and belief in her students made such a difference in my journey. She pushed me to become better while also reminding me that I was capable of more than I thought. I started this journey as a student, and I finished it feeling like I had become a stronger, more confident version of myself. I will forever be grateful for the lessons I learned at SABA -- both inside and outside the classroom. SABA will always have a special place in my heart. It truly became my second home, and the people I met there will always be a meaningful part of my story. If you are considering becoming an esthetician, I genuinely recommend SABA Beauty Academy. Come ready to learn, work hard, grow, and challenge yourself -- and you will leave with so much more than an education. Thank you, SABA, for being part of such an important chapter of my life. And Ms. Asmi, thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and reminding me to be unstoppable and irreplaceable. I will carry that with me wherever this career takes me. Forever grateful. Forever a SABA girl.

From the very first day, she felt welcomed, and the positive, supportive environment quickly became a safe place for her to grow. Over time, I watched her truly come out of her shell. She became more confident, expressive, and comfortable speaking in front of others. What started as a way to help her socially turned into a genuine passion--she even took on lead roles in her school play and amazed us with her talent. The instructors are incredibly encouraging and knowledgeable, and Brianne has created something really special--an organized, professional program that still feels warm and like a family. This experience has meant so much to our family. Acting class is now the highlight of her week, and I'm so grateful to Performers Academy for helping her find her confidence and passion. I highly recommend it to any parent looking to support their child's growth and self-confidence.

Ms. Karla is incredibly helpful, organized, and hardworking as the director, and it really shows in the way everything is planned and communicated. The teachers are very involved with the children and are hands-on with activities, which makes the environment feel warm, engaging, and supportive. One of the things we really appreciate is the strong focus on educational activities. The children get to do many crafts and special projects, but what stands out is that the crafts always seem to have an educational touch behind them. We have seen other daycares where crafts are more generic or less focused, so it is very nice to see activities that are both fun and meaningful for the kids. The daycare also offers many great extra options for families, including book club, early drop-off, and afternoon care, which makes the program very convenient and flexible. There are also lots of extra special activities, and we love seeing the creative projects the kids bring home. The facility itself is beautifully decorated and has a charming artistic, homestead feel that gives it a lot of character. Another highlight has been the weekly video recaps. Seeing the kids participate in activities throughout the week is so wonderful and gives parents a special window into their day. We also really appreciate that the daycare advocates for and emphasizes no screen time for the children, which has been such a positive and refreshing part of the program. Overall, this is a caring, creative, and well-run daycare, and we are very thankful for everything they do for the children.
