Anyways, we made the 45 minute trek from Fort Wayne to Hicksville, OH. and were suprised how this cool little place is "hidden" downtown. The menu was a lot more extensive than I would have guessed. They were out of the Barramoundi I wanted to try and went with Haddock. My wife got the Bandolero Quessadilla. Doug went with shrimp tacos. Everything was served hot and tasted fresh. Their menu is packed with IPAs and sours, but the real standout wasn't just the beer, it was the creativity behind it. One of the beers we discovered was called Hanks, featuring Tom Hanks sitting on the famous bench from Forrest Gump (box of chocolates and volleyball included... bonus points if you spot all the movie references on the label). The backstory? The brewery's name comes from the owner's wife joking that he'd need to clone himself to run a brewery -- so every once in a while, he "releases" another Tom in beer form. Genius. The space had a great vibe, and the bartender (wish I remembered his name!) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Fun beers, good pours, and even better personality -- definitely worth a visit!

The prime ribeye was too fatty, but the grilled chicken skewers were yummy! Everyone, the bartenders and hosts was super nice and friendly, except for our waitress. We didn't know her name because she never introduced herself, and from the moment we sat down, she gave us that look. You know the "I don't like you" look? Yeah, I know that look. So, about halfway through, I gave her the same look right back. After she served our food, she gave us a thumbs-up , as if we couldn't speak English or something. Let me make this clear: Yes, we are Asian, but if we go to an American restaurant, we 100% know how to order our food, communicate, and respond to our servers. She also didn't check on us to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything until we were almost finished. Then she came over and asked, "You okay?" It's not like she was a quiet or shy person, either. She was happily chitchatting with the people dining next to us. I told my husband not to leave her a tip, but he's too nice, so of course, he still gave her one. I do hope the manager sees this review because I think the rest of the staff deserves recognition. Everyone else was wonderful! Overall, we will come back, but if she's working, I'll definitely request a different server.

We were invited to their soft opening and were thoroughly impressed with the menu. I would normally give a new place a few months to work out the kinks before I tried their food and service. I'm not doing that in this situation. The food was good and the staff seemed to be up to speed. We were able to drive all the dishes on their soft opening menu and enjoyed everything except the dessert course. They're set up for family accommodations in the main dining room and I was very impressed with the over 21 bar area in the back of the house. Can't wait for the opening on 7/27 as it's a 10 minute walk from our house!

It took about 10 minutes for them to come back around and I politely pointed out I am just waiting on the rest of my food. They then brought out the French onion soup soon after. The soup had good taste, but hardly any onions in my portion. I took maybe 3 spoonfuls and sent it back. Told the lady that I do NOT need a new portion as I was just disappointed with it all and ready to leave. Then, after I asked to cash out and had my credit card by the bill, she brought me a new soup. I told her "I'm not trying to be rude but I told you I didn't need another serving." So they wasted 2 servings of soup. Pretty ridiculous. Been here twice now, both not the best experience. Will not be back. **would have been 1 star, but the beer was at least cold
