Made me miss the first three doses of antibiotics my doctor ordered, and I had no pain meds to get me through the night. BACKGROUND DETAILS: I had oral surgery that day in the late morning and my dentist said she would call in three prescriptions (antibiotic, special mouthwash to prevent infection, and medication for pain). I usually get an automated text from Walgreens alerting me that my prescription is ready for pickup. No texts. I called around 4 pm and got a recorded message that the pharmacy was closed. (Their posted hours are 9 am to 6 pm.) I called back and asked for the store manager. Got a woman (not the regular manager) who told me that the pharmacy would be open the next day at 9. No "How can I help?" No "Sorry for the inconvenience." I wasn't able to find out whether they had even received the prescription order, and it was too late to contact my dentist to ask her to send it to a different pharmacy. I did not receive a text message that next morning, so I called at about 11 am. I gave up after waiting on hold for 10 minutes and went to the store. The "fill-in" pharmacist (nice lady) found the prescription but had not begun to fill it. She said she didn't know why the pharmacy had been closed. She said my prescriptions would be ready in 15 minutes. I decided to run errands. Received a text message at 1 pm saying they were ready for pick-up. This is the second time in six months that there has been a significant problem with getting an urgently needed prescription filled. I tried to fill out their customer satisfaction survey online but got repeated warnings that the connection wasn't private. Tried calling the phone number provided for the survey and got cut off halfway through my complaint. Everything about this experience was negative. I will be switching to CVS for my prescription needs.

When it was time to pick up my…read moremedication, the technician walked up without speaking, greeting, or identifying herself, and announced, "Whoever is at this register, your medicine is ready." I had to confirm that she was referring to me. When I addressed the issue, she attempted to justify calling me "whoever." That is dismissive and unprofessional, especially in a healthcare setting. New systems do not replace basic customer service, courtesy, or respect. Staff should properly address patients and wear identification. Please do better.

They did not see the prescription in their system, went back just before closing and they still did not see it and seemed not to care. The prescription was for a common antibiotic and I showed them in MyChart that the doctor had input it as well as the doctor's name. No concern they would not do anything. I asked for one pill for the evening as prescribed and the problem could be resolved in the morning. No to doing that. Had it been a narcotic they certainly should not do it but no excuse for not doing it with all the information available. CVS culture is not what it use to be.

I prefer Walgreens over Food Lion or Publix just because it's easier to get in and out of quickly although prices can be slightly higher. There are these M&M flavors I see here and no where else, it's like cinnamon roll, lemon meringue pie, and such. I purchased a pack of lemon meringue once they are smaller but rich just like real thing. I know for fact these packs are $3 a piece, buy two get 3rd free if you think that's a deal. Getting prints is super easy through the app and cheap. As someone else has mentioned the photo shop is not separate from the general checkout so if there's a line you have to wait. I do not use the pharmacy except to ask for help finding items in the aisles. The employees I have encountered are friendly and engaging, specifically Olivia, Khia, and Robert. A real bright spot to make the shopping here more enjoyable. Quick to get in and out, friendly staff.
