Closet in the bathroom! Great layout!

Small business done right! This place seems to get a lot of 4 star ratings, but I think that is over selling it. The weather turned so I found a spot.. a good one. It's obvious the guy at the front desk either owns this Inn or is related to someone who does. Not only did he show obvious care, but also pride in his establishment. The room is unexpectedly nice. It's no Ritz, But for a random Inn in a small town off the highway, this a gem. Unique decor, and obvious attention to detail have gone into this place. The details are right. I think they are remodeling "as able", because the Bath is not as nice as the rest of the room. And to be honest, I think it is obvious that the walls were painted by hand, but that is what makes this place worth the stop! The obvious care and attention to detail make it a gem! I included lots of pictures, but bottom line, don't go with a franchise run by an employee staff, stay where the owner is the operator, and he cares! I stayed at a 4 star hotel last night, and it was surprising to me that the towels weren't folded like ducks or something. Here, the extra mile had been undertaken. Decor is shown in the pictures, check it out!

    Look for the grizz!

A great place to stay for the money during a hunting trip, or passing thru on the eastern plains of Colorado. The beds were comfortable and free wifi worked well. While we were up before sunrise, the view from the moon (blackout shade) was an interesting touch. My only critique would be that they didn't shovel the snow from pathways to the rooms and the packed down snow made for a tricky walk to and from the truck. The staff was very friendly and personable. Don't let the grizzly scare you off this gem if you need a place to den up during your travels.

This hotel was such a surprise. Unassuming on the outside but delightful on the inside. We were blown away. Everything was tasteful. The towels were so fluffy. The TV was large and even the channels offered were great, even has CNBC! Quiet. Even the air conditioner was extremely quite. Attention to detail was awesome. The block out shade, when pulled down had the iconic picture of the earth from the moon. And the decor was a relief from all the flowery taupe and rose color schemes I'm used to.

Friendly hosts and a very clean spacious room! Love these old school motels where you pull right up to your door! That makes this a premium property for me! The towels were remarkably thick and luxurious. Turns out they're specially imported. I wish I could get a couple of those! Make your reservation without worry; you too will enjoy your stay at the Chaparral Motor Inn!

It's a good little inn for a small town. Seems like they were trying their best to keep this venue clean and looking nice. Our room was nice and clean enough. I like that they also include a note for feedback (good or bad) for them to read. That tells me they want to improve what needs to be improved. A for effort. The owner is nice and friendly, too. We were checking out at 4am (yep, so early!) I walked in to the front door to drop off our keys, and this guy just walks out of the door from the inside, obvious that he'd just woken up. He thought I was checking in. Poor guy got his nap disturbed. But he was nice and friendly despite of it all.

    Nice amenities.

We booked our room on Hotels.com to gain more points towards a free room. But after comparing prices with priceline.com, we will probably get our free room and then delete the app. That is, delete the Hotels.com app and just stick with priceline.com or Booking.com. When we arrived we were given the key to room 210 and checked in. We slept in soft beds without our pillows because the pillows were so firm. But the beds were really soft which is something I'm not used to but nothing to complain about. When we took our showers this morning one thing I notice is water pressure. This room had outstanding water pressure! After our showers we made coffee and packed up and left. We would stay here again. Especially with that $55 price point. Due to COVID-19 there was no breakfast but at least the ice machine was available.

The entire hotel is a loud hang out spot, the smell is overpowering like chemicals and mold. After getting to my room and seeing how small it is and how close to the elevator at was, I was going to TRY to make it work. However the TV wouldnt work they fiddled with it for a half hour, staff acted like it wasn't a big deal that the TV didn't work but if I couldnt have a suite with the extra space and quiet I needed the TV to work to keep my dog from barking at all the loud noises. They switched me to room #109 which was HORRIBLE! The smell of chemicals from the hall, and the smell of 5 men smoking their bqq meat directly outside the door with the front door to the hotel open, ws overpowering and even worse than the room on the 2nd floor. The floor was disgustingly sticky, the noise level was much louder, and I finally said this isnt right I need to go to a different hotel. I have video evidence I checked in just after Jan 4th @ 2pm, and checked out 3:05PM same day. I had to call and talk to the manager, Denise for a refund. She was belittling every single one of my complaints, acting like I was lying about the stench, and condescendingly said "you really thought you were getting a suite for $81"? I was absolutely shocked that a manager of a business behaved so unprofessional. She even said that I wasnt being honest about the length of time I stayed before I checked out. On the receipt I was sent the fraudulantly said I checked out Jan 5th, 2026 at 10:55AM. She was acting like I was trying to get a free stay, i was dumbfounded. I booked a SUITE because that is what ny needs required, and they didnt even apologize or try and make it right. Then they proceeded to be unprofessional. This type of business should be closed down, I will be reporting them and making sure everyone knows they are not a good place. Having zero accountability, not apologizing, being condescending, and calling me a liar yet i had proof to back uo my claims is all the most unnecessary thing to deal with when all you want to do is relax until you get back on the road. Spent 1 hour there, theyre refusing to refund me

I got off work next week on a Friday and I came to discover that she had locked out my boyfriend. I texted him to go pick up my mail from the front desk. She would not give it to him. she said I can't have my mail until I pay. Then when he tried to go back to the room the door was locked. She locked him out!! I got upset and went to the front desk after 5:30 when I got off work to pay her and get my mail. She charged me 453.88 again. I asked her where is my discount? She said next time. I told her there won't be a next time, since you locked out my boyfriend. She said well I thought he had a car. I said no he doesn't. Then today, Saturday, after just paying her yesterday. I get off work at 5:30 pm after working 10 hours. She come knocking on the door and ask me to leave tomorrow morning. I told her. I just got off work after working 10 hours then I'm on-call all night tonight. I work 10 hours tomorrow. I work one weekend a month. I run ER lab tests if they have lab tests on an ER patient . But she said well I have a problem, and you need to leave. After her continuing to ask me to leave, I pushed her back ever so lightly so I can close the door. She said I'm going to call the cops. I then called the cops myself. The cops immediately jumped on her side since this is her property. She told them I pushed her hard out the door. They said she might charge me for harassment. I told them she is the one who keeps knocking on my door asking if we are going to stay. This is very unprofessional and rude. Please save yourself the worry and DO NOT stay here. They do not respect their customers. And I'm just here working as a traveler. I've been a traveler Med Tech for 5 years and I have never had a problem with anyone at all the past places I have stayed. I just feel picked on and singled out. Just realized they asked us to leave because of a bad Google review. You can't ask someone to leave because of that. If you own a business you have to learn a good customer service then that way you won't get negative reviews. Duuh. We left a couple days early when I finally had the time since they wanted us out. I kindly asked for a refund for 2 days. They said... No refund. Talk about VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Booked on Priceline an hour out, paying, and receiving full confirmation with email. I arrived to find the place looking so dilapidated that I thought I was at the wrong address and circled Burlington more before realizing it was my motel that I booked as the addresses matched. I parked and walked inside. It looks falling apart and untouched in years with bad lighting and no staff at the front desk. I ring the bell and a white man with many strange necklaces, covered in tattoos, and reeking of meth walks out and begins insisting I'm at the wrong place and couldn't possibly have a reservation. I insist I have one and give him my full name. He checks the computer before continuing to argue with me. Finally he says to wait and goes to the back room again. He then comes out and "finds" me on the computer suddenly with a reservation but for 4 guests, not 2 as I booked on Priceline. He also demands I pay him for the room now. I show him my phone, email, confirmation with his motel and Priceline that I paid. He laughs in my face and keeps repeating the price raising his voice to cut me off anytime I try to speak. I refuse to double pay and he laughs as I storm out. I realize I left my ID inside so I go back to retrieve it. He pretends to hand it to me and keeps moving it out of reach each time I try to grab while laughing and taunting me before finally giving it to me to leave and hurling insults at me as I exit. It took me almost an hour to stop shaking and calm down to find another nearby booking at a more reputable place Do not stop here. Stay safe out there.
