Ascension has been an answer to our prayers. We lost our home in the Palisades fire. This community…read morewelcomed our daughters with open arms and hearts. To a degree that is unheard of. They made a spot for our TK daughter that didn't exist as they felt so strongly about welcoming our daughters into the community during this tough time. Our girls loved their school, home and community that all burned in the fire... They were really not wanting a new school, so they were VERY tough sells. I was very nervous about how this would all go. They were very resistant to starting a new school. They were the hardest won over demographic. But, within a couple of days they were completely won over. I am serious when I say it was only a few days. They were so skeptical and heartbroken. They didn't want to like the school. They didn't want to like their new teachers or friends. They wanted to go home. It was unreal how this school changed them. My TK daughter comes home every day and says "it was the best day EVER mom!" I completely get why she says it. Every day is something magical . I can't quite put into words how many amazing opportunities these kids have, their budgeting is insane. I can't believe how many things they do. I would go into all of it but it would take all night. Their teachers are truly the most incredible and gifted teachers. They meet the kids where they are at with all the patience and love in the world. My husband and I are constantly in amazement--- our kids have been through the worst of it and yet every day at this school brings a smile to their faces. I have NEVER heard a negative thing about the school. Every single family feels the same way we do... this school is incredible. The warmth, the love...is unbelievable. Besides the current families-- every time I tell someone where my daughters go to school it is unanimous across the board... It is something to the effect of "Oh my friend's kids go there and they love it!" or "My neighbors go there and I have heard incredible things!" People always go out of their way to express their extreme love of the school personally or things they have heard about it. I get the hype. Truly. Amazing. We went and toured so many schools.but this school is just on another level. Rich Gregory leads this school with incredible love and care and it shows at every level. In addition to Rich's amazing leadership-- our daughters hit the lottery with Ms. Arias and Ms. Harrington. I can't wait to see what is ahead for my girls here...We are so lucky.

Storytime on why you should not go there on my experience we're only going there for two years…read morefourth and fifth grade. in fifth grade, it was lining up for lunch and me, and two of my friends went to the bathroom and I got suffocated by both of them. One of them covered my mouth and one of them covered my nose and throat. One time when we were doing math I asked my teacher to go to go use the restroom, but she told me that I could've went at recess and said no, this also happened to me during computers when I needed to use the restroom but the teacher always kept asking if it was emergency if I didn't ask then why wouldn't it be an emergency? Another part about the friends is how they were really fake and you would think they were nice, but they weren't. They always tried to get me to the principals and one time I brought my squishy to school and one of them drew on it and said that it wasn't them, you would think they are really nice because they because they were nice to adults, but they were rude to kids, especially when we played soccer. I almost got fractured knee because one of them kept kicking my shins and throwing me to the ground, the staff workers were not the best. They kept telling her to stop when she wouldn't stop. I tried to get away from her, but she kept chasing me and pulled my hair every time. One more thing about the teachers is that how they always have favorites, but they left them in the dust after a couple days or especially weeks. I was my teacher's favorite on grandparents day because my grandparent did not come, but after that, she always gave me bad grade grades. If you ever decide to go to a Christian school and Simi Valley, I would not pick Grace as my number one favorite. I hope you understand why not to go here.
