I pulled into this airport location for a 2 euro coffee…read more The carpark was well enough signposted to alert customers to a maximum 30 minute stay as it's within the airport. This is understandable from their perspective but far from generous to customers. I mean I know it's fast food but rushing to eat this food ain't my idea of dining. Come to think of it, even eating it slowly ain't my idea of dining either that's why it's only occasional cheap coffee. So if you don't gobble this food on site there's really nowhere close by to eat it before going stone cold; it's motorway and carriageway all around Dublin airport and in my case going back north I'd have to pull over on a motorway hard shoulder which would just be daft. It was about 5pm when I arrived and there was only a few customers - the chap who was in front of me also ordered only a coffee. His took a while to be served up and again who knows why - after all it's push a button technology - as I stood waiting and waiting I noted that the staff were extremely courteous to customers. That's what made an otherwise one star review a three star one. Time passed and the chap in front of me had long gone yet still no sign of my coffee and little sign of much effort behind the counter and darn few customers. I became conscious that I only had 30 minutes so I called over to a staffer to say I was waiting on a coffee. I didn't hear his reply to me but when he did another staffer, that I couldn't see, confirmed she'd taken my order and very soon after this my coffee was served up. In other words my coffee order had vanished and only I spoke up I would likely have breached the 30 minute stay and no doubt an exorbitant parking ticket via the postman. Only the desperation of overbearing osmotic pressure or a ruptured urethral sphincter would see me return here.

It took so long for my order to be processed (my number is something like 770 and we got our food at the same time with the one carried number 830 and no words from staffs to state why our foods is that late to make). Understand it was a busy day for the shop but some words would be appreciated than just let us standing there for 20 mins when everyone had there food. We still come back there again and hopefully the service could be a bit faster.

Finally on our last day ending our country wide tour of Ireland, we decided to make the stop here in Dublin. Reading through the whole menu it was hard to make our decisions, lots of appealing options make you either want to go all out or come back to try other options. We decided on the Abra Meat Feast Kebab, buffalo chicken wings, rodeo fries, and sweet potato loaded fries. The Meat Feast was delicious. The buffalo chicken wings were spicy! and tasty. The sweet potato loaded fries hit the spot. The rodeo fries while listed as onion rings, only came with two small onion rings sitting on a bed of regular fries. Still tasty but not what we expected based on the menus description. Now as for the sauces, this is where they lost their 5th star. Any side of sauce other than ketchup is €1. You'd think with Wings or fries you'd get a sauce, you do but you have to pay for it. Even McDonalds gives you one or two sauces of your choosing with a small order of nuggets. Other than being stingy on their dips, the food definitely gives you a nice fast food high :) If we're ever back in Ireland, we'd swing by for a round two for sure!

Local takeaway food is as to be expected in a chain. Fast service nice staff and good doners.read more

Unfortunately, I am unable to comment on the quality of the food in this establishment…read more My family was on a camping holiday in Donabate, and decided to get a Chinese takeaway in the village. We found a parking spot right outside the takeaway at no.3, Fairways Mall -- perfect! -- and, with a bit of manoeuvring, got the campervan into the space, well within the road markings (it's a medium size campervan). With that, a man got out of the car in the next space, and proceeded to lambast me for parking there, saying that I was blocking access to the takeaway. It turned out that he was one of the drivers of the takeaway. I got out and checked, and I had left plenty of room, and told him so; and furthermore, informed him that the campervan was taxed and insured, and that I was fully entitled to park where I was, on the public road. I then asked him why he had not negotiated with me when he first saw my initial manoeuvrings. No response. With that, the lady proprietor of the takeaway came out, and screamed at me to "get that van out of there, it is too big." Attempts at explanation of parking bye-laws were ignored (we would only have been there for the time it took to prepare the meal, after all). All I got was a repeated "Get out, get out", which made me all the more determined to stay put........until my niece told me that her young son was getting an asthma attack, with all the excitement. So, reluctantly, I moved away. Needless to say, I didn't give them my custom after that little episode, and if you are driving in Donabate in a campervan and fancy a Chinese takeaway, my advice is to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other, more welcoming, establishments in the area.
