Based on the reviews I thought this was going to be a "positive place" our kid was not misbehaving and our baby was quiet in her baby seat. We were looking forward to a reading together. We stood outside, upstairs in the patio section and read two signs. One was in front of the door that read "quiet please" which made us believe there was a session in place and another one in the patio saying that it was a quiet space and that no cellphones or loud noises were around. We thought we could wait but I told my husband to go downstairs with our toddler to wait since waiting could make our toddler impatient. So I waited 10 minutes to see if anyone would come out to greet us or tell us the session ended. Told my husband we could wait another 10 minutes to see if anyone would come out. I thought the door was locked since it alluded to someone inside getting a reading. So my husband finally asked me if the door was opened. I never bothered to look so I checked. Door was opened and I walked in. There was a lady on her phone and keep in mind, it's super quiet there. First, she didn't bother to look up or greet me. Second, you could look from inside looking out and she clearly saw us waiting and never came outside to ask us if we needed anything. Because as it turns out, I asked "excuse me, is there a session in place?" She said yes. So I said "do you know when the reading ends?" Since we didn't want to keep waiting. She said "what are you looking for?" I said a psychic reading. She then looks me up and down, and says, "oh sorry I'm not doing any readings today" and then quickly looks at my purse. There was a fake smile at the end. The whole time, I felt an odd feeling. Because she was not friendly. Not welcoming. Didn't bother to check on us. Saw us waiting and didn't even bother to look up when I walked in. So, I can only think 1 of 2 or all of these 2 can be true. 1. she didn't want to do a family reading. 2. She doesn't like Hispanic people. Or she just assumed I had no money. Don't bother coming here.

We each created a piece--I made a glass pumpkin, and Christian made a pint glass--and the entire experience was fantastic from beginning to end. We recently picked up our finished pieces, and seeing how beautifully they turned out was almost as exciting as making them. The artists and staff made the process fun, comfortable, and approachable, even for complete beginners. Watching molten glass transform is incredible, but getting to participate makes it truly special. I also found a gorgeous clear glass icicle, an adorable curly glass plant spike I nicknamed "Baby Curly Cute" , and the cutest little glass measuring cup. This was one of our favorite Asheville experiences and a wonderful vacation memory to bring home. If you're visiting Asheville, GO HERE! ChatGPT recommended that I definitely check out the North Carolina Glass Center while exploring the River Arts District North stop on the Gray Line Trolley, and I am glad I did. There is a good-sized shop with a wide variety of items, from larger decorative statement pieces and vases to drinking glasses and jewelry, with many items at affordable prices. While I was there, two artists were creating fall pumpkins using the furnaces, molds, and different techniques for blowing and shaping the hot glass. It was a great free demonstration that I hadn't needed to schedule or show up for at a special time. One of the artists even engaged those of us watching by asking what color he should use for the stem of the purple pumpkin he was making. Even though I still had more trolley stops and sightseeing ahead of me, I bought two hand-blown glasses that I knew I could fit into my personal-item bag. For me, buying something when I know I have to carry it around for the rest of the day and somehow get it home in my luggage is a pretty good endorsement. 8-) I recommend making the North Carolina Glass Center a must-stop during a visit to the River Arts District.
