Husband was told to go ahead and continue walking on it as usual and He asked us to come back in 2 weeks to see if the agonizing shot he gave in the knee had done the trick. Every day was horrible and the anti-inflammatories did very little to help. So I asked if he could go ahead and get an MRI instead of waiting for that 2 week appointment. The office workers kept returning my phone calls to the wrong number. We finally got on the same track and his assistant scheduled an mediate MRI for my husband late on a Friday night. After not hearing anything all day Monday and having gone through the weekend in agony, I called and asked what the results were. I was told that Dr. Burney went on vacation and we would have to come in for an appointment when he got back in town in order to get the results another week away. We gave up and went to another doctor and it turned out that he had a torn meniscus, a possible fractured bone on the inside of the bone, and severe swelling of the marrow. 3 days later my husband had surgery by Dr Sutker of Plano sports medicine. Dr Burney's office still never even called us with the results of the MRI.

I'm a hairstylist and need to be aligned about once every 2 months to keep myself from having a horrible nerve pinching pain that happens when my spine gets out of whack. Years ago that happened to me and the pain was so horrible it felt like someone had rammed a knife in my back and if I moved it felt like it was being twisted in! That's when I met Dr Ray. He took X-rays and told me the issue then adjusted me. Immediate relief of the pain happened!! Like a freaking miracle or something hahaha so I said " oh my God!! you healed me! It's crazy!" And he jokingly said "oh you can just call me Dr Ray " hahaha I had to take a week off work and had about 3 more sessions with him that week.He explained to me that because of my repetitive motions all day long and being on my feet I will more than likely run into that issue again if I don't come in for adjustments at least once every 2 months. So I said ok. I was pretty good about coming in for about a year and then i got lazy and though ohhhh I'll be ok .. No need to come in. And I didn't come in for an adjustment for about 6-7 months and you better believe that same shit happened to me again!!! Just like he said! Ugh! That's what I get for not taking care of myself. This is a hard thing for me to review…read more Initially, I felt like this was a great place. I had a great counselor and then she left and got replaced with someone who I also liked but reflecting back I see where things went wrong. I think Dustin did the best he could with what he knew but was maybe doing to others what he felt worked best for him. And that's great, but not everyone is just like him. There are a variety of different ways to help people and if something isn't working, maybe try something else? As far as what they provide, they have AM and PM IOP and SOP which makes it work for people who have jobs during the day or night. They also have 1x a week individual therapy with your counselor. This is one of the better IOPs I have been to (and I've been to a lot ) They don't take me back as they want me to go to trauma treatment inpatient first. Unfortunately, inpatient and I don't work well together. However, I did follow up with my first trauma therapist and have been seeing the same therapist since (for 3 years now) and I think that makes up for the 30 day inpatient criteria that they only allow. With my therapist, I have wayyy more coping skills under my belt. It really made sense when my therapist told me that he doesn't start treating trauma from the earliest childhood trauma. First you develop the coping skills to deal, and then kinda start from the most recent trauma and work backwards to your more severe trauma. That was one of the things said that gave me this "aha moment". With that said, I felt like Dustin's approach at the time (over 3 years ago) was to get things out as soon as possible and talk about it which clearly didn't work well for me. I guess that would be my 2 suggestions is to consider the amount of trauma therapy I have taken in the past 3 years, going regularly (sometimes 2-3 times a week) and substituting that for the required inpatient that they require. My other suggestion would be to not force someone to spill their beans on trauma just because it worked for Dustin. It caused me to spiral, BADLY. I didn't ever talk about certain things or ever deal with things so it wasn't good for me. It's been over 3 years and I know Dustin was new at the time and maybe things have changed and I knew his intentions were good. It sucks bc sometimes my substance abuse goes up and trauma is not the focus or vice versa and I need to go somewhere that will accept certain medications I'm on, and unfortunately a lot of IOPs in the area won't take me bc of certain meds I am on. But they won't take me which sucks because my substance abuse needs focus at the moment. I guess it's just not the place for me

He was locked out. Yes, he has been addicted to drugs and so has no phone and really nothing at this point- he just got out of rehab. When the "clinician" "Cherrelle" arrived after 2pm she snapped at him "the appointment was at 2!". With that attitude and what I've seen this far, there is zero chance for a productive relationship there now. She obviously hates her job and it shows. Zero stars, not recommended.

My sessions with Chris have proved to be invaluable, not only as an individual, but as a wife, friend, daughter, and peer/colleague. I value his expertise and counseling so much so that when he made his first move, I refused to go see anyone else. He responded by graciously accommodating through virtual sessions (which we still continue today). Chris has helped me navigate anxiety, depression, relationship issues/struggles, and understanding specific aspects of myself, my personality, and my emotions. I have always felt exceptionally at ease with Chris, and he makes it insanely easy to open up. He is professional, kind, compassionate, and as non-judgmental as they come.
