Sensei Joe is a wonderful role model that I consider us all blessed for crossing his path. He has the children, usually at least 15 at a time, sit, listen and learn while he gives each child attention and respect. The children are taught by Sensei Joe how to respect their peers, their parents and most importantly themselves. His staff reinforces everything that Sensei teaches and the kids seem to adore them as well. The activities that the children do are tailored to each child's skill level and again the kids walk away feeling good about themselves. I never saw the value of karate until I came to this class. His school is made up of a majority of black and brown children, as is his staff. He is always super personable to the parents and I have been a witness to him going ABOVE AND BEYOND to help any of his family members/students. The school is professionally ran, always clean, and above all safe. You get free uniforms and there is always some type of promotion running. Bottom line, after a year of attending...
