With the ease of ordering a Lyft or an Uber these days, you forget about the former way in which we use to get alternate transportation! Remember taxi cabs, folks???!!! Well, when you are in 'Baghdad' Indiana (as my Boo likes to refer to it), you won't be getting any access to a Lyft nor an Uber!!! I mean, we sat for an hour or more watching the Lyft Driver Tracker to see if someone would pick up the request!! When we realized it was simply not gonna happen, I jumped on Yelp and started looking for an alternate solution! And, low and behold, Chancey's Magic Cab appeared in the Top 10 results! How refreshing it was to get an actual human being on the phone to address my call! Wow! That was the first impressing thing I noticed! Then, I called needing a ride ASAP, and CMC was able to accommodate immediately!! Say what now??? I am feeling really good about this! I was so excited, I forgot to ask for details! With Lyft and 'them' (aka Uber), you know who will be picking you up, the make & model of their car, can track how long it takes until they arrive, etc. as it appears on the screen! This transaction was all the way old school! So, I called back and asked, how will I know when the driver will be here? The Dispatcher, who was very polite and kind, said, "Matt is your driver, and I gave him your number and name, and he will call you once he gets close." As simple as that! As stated, Matt did call when he was 5 minutes away! My Love really enjoyed the drive with Matt! He was accommodating, friendly, and kind! Provided great conversation along the way! Thanks, Matt and Chaney's Magic Cab, for your exceptional service!!! So remember, folks, when you can't get a Lyft or an Uber, don't forget about the OG Taxi cab services!! We called Chaney for taking our boy and his friends from the university to the place they wanted to go to for the weekend. He reassured us that he will drive them and back safely; the rates were on par with others. He surprised the boys with a limo to and fro, and they went in full comfort. The best part was he called us up once he dropped them off, and it was such a relief. The prices were pre-decided and there were no surprises. Would definitely use this service in future. read more

The driver kept repeating "I hear so many Uber drivers can't even speak English." I can't even count how many times he said that during the car ride. Plus, there was heavy cigarette smoke in the car. I don't think he even realized I was foreign myself or he wouldn't have been repeating that. I don't know, it was just so weird. That's straight up racism. Crazy. read more

My husband called for a cab this morning to get to work the man told him it was $20 cash up front my husband used this same taxi service on Friday it was only $12 not sure why it went from $12 on a debit card to $20 cash up front is Magic Cab just charging people whatever they want so this rude employee is basically making an extra $8 that's why he told my husband it was $20 cash up front this is absolutely ridiculous read more

Absolutely terrible!!!!! We were at the Neon Cactus at Purdue and it was raining. They were our last option and at first thought it was great. We used the service with the owner(white minivan). He seemed cool, then cost exactly the same as the uber (no monetary value). That's fine, he left. Then we realized that one of us left Apple Airpods in the car. We called the place and the receptionist said they would return it and call us. Nothing happened for 45 minutes so I called and the driver/owner answered. He said we had to pay him to return them. Then he shows up and basically condescends us saying we're lucky he returned them to us. Just overall rude. Don't use, do yourself a favor. read more

The drivers smoke in their cabs. Would not recommend. The driver of the red minivan specifically smokes constantly. You should not smoke in your cab. read more

I kept seeing "Magic Cabs" all over town, so when I needed a cab I gave them a call. They got there quickly and he helped me get my groceries in the house and I didn't even have to ask for help. I'll definitely call them next time I need a ride again. read more

Not a good service. They take a long time to pick you up, if they show up at all. The cabs are dirty and drivers are rudd. I do not recommend this taxi service. read more
