So I've never really been into designer personally though, i do appreciate certain pieces from designers. We ended up in the store after having been unsuccessful with another piece at a different brand. The lady does also like Chanel, so we popped in and lookie here, a cute bag she wanted for a while was in stock with matching wallet. Now don't ask me names or models. It was a durable looking leather, caviar style? Looked much better at holding up to daily use than the lamb skin alternative styles. Now yes we did encounter some Sales reps that didn't look as friendly with our limited interactions with them butttttt our sales associate Alex (in-training) was TOP notch. He'll be an asset to the brand so I hope they treat him right. The lady ended up leaving with the matching set, and Alex helped explain how to maximize the VAT refund. 15.3% i believe is what we qualified for. Great job to the lady for understanding it all because I was just the bag holder haha. Thankfully we got in there before the big rush came and others actually wanted her set but it was the last of both items in that particular model for inventory. read more

I honestly wasn't planning on making a purchase at Chanel this trip haha. After going to a different store right up the street & was unsuccessful with getting a bag I wanted in a specific color (no inventory), I decided to walk over to Chanel! I found the service to be amazing actually! I loved it even more than I did at the flagship Chanel in Paris (Rue Cambon). From the moment we walked in to when we walked out, all of the staff we encountered were super kind. I originally was thinking to just get a wallet as a souvenir piece. Then my eyes wandered & I ended up getting a wallet & a WOC to match as a late birthday present to myself! I unfortunately cannot say no to caviar leather (and VAT refund) hehe. Lambskin leather is cute + buttery soft but I just love the durability of caviar. I had been searching for the black caviar flap wallet with gold hardware for SO long, I'm not sure why so many of the stores I've been to don't have stock of it but I'm glad this one did. And I also had to the get the black caviar WOC because it also has gold hardware, CC-turn lock, & matches the wallet! It was too perfect haha. Our SA Alex was one of the best! Super nice & helpful. Checking out was also quick & easy. The VAT refund for my purchase was 15.3%, which is actually a slightly higher net VAT than in France! I'd definitely come back again! read more

This has to be the worst Chanel I have been to in Europe & US. Absolutely horrible service! They didn't keep track of the order of people they let in, after standing in line for a long time to get into the store. People that walked in after us were served before us. Our salesperson was absolutely horrible. She told me I needed to take the nylon socks with me after I tried on the shoes. I was asking for a trashcan, not asking her to throw it away. And I know it's not a language barrier because she spoke fluent English. We were going to look at jewelry but she was so rude after "helping" us with the shoes that I lost my patients n we left. Even though we had been waiting in line outside for such a long time. She never offered water or anything. Skip this store. Not worth waiting in line n being treated poorly. If you decide to come here, DO NOT shop with Natalia. She is rude, impatient and made us feel unwelcome throughout the whole visit. Natalia would show us many products at once, and ask if she can take them away after 30 seconds.. she didn't give us the time of day to even look at anything. Also, Natalia doesn't know her shit because I had asked for a specific product since she first asked what we came in for. She said they didn't have that product.. After she shows us a bunch of products I didn't like, she finally goes to the back and gets the product I had originally asked her for but she said they didn't have?? Natalia could've saved herself the rude attitude and our time if she had just brought out the product we came in for the first time. Her demeanor was condescending and annoyed since the moment she was assigned to us. She had a mad look on her face the entire time and didn't crack a single smile. Natalia's awful and disgusting attitude was the biggest con when debating to purchase. Shopping should be a happy and fun experience but disappointed to say that Natalia managed to make this the completely opposite experience. My biggest regret is that she got the commission from our purchase and I wish that would've gone to a SA who would've made our experience anything better than what we experienced with Natalia. Chanel would get more business if the sales associates treat all their clients as equals and stop acting like they own the store and they're better than everyone else. read more

I was on a mission to find a matching black caviar flap wallet with silver hardware, even though it was so hard to find in the original Rue Cambon Chanel store, and at the Hamburg Chanel store. First we got confused and went to the small shoe store inside the Majestic Hotel. A few doors down was the two floor Chanel store housing everything else. The security greeted us, but none of the sales associates acknowledged us. Most of them were busy with other customers but a general, someone will be with you shortly is nice, and they did this while I waited at the original shop in Paris. There were some sales associates that passed by that weren't with any customers and my husband was annoyed and finally asked, we just want to know if you have one item, and I told them "black caviar flap wallet with silver hardware," and he said he believes they do, but to wait for an associate. After that two other sales associates said hi to me but didn't stop to help. Finally after about 15-20 minutes it was my turn. I was set up for heart break, but they did have my wallet to finally match my medium flap bag! Our Sales Associate was very sweet and we also ended up leaving with a pair of earrings as well. Though she was sweet and the security men were very nice as well, the other sales associates were pretty frosty, especially one blonde woman who was rather rude when I asked her where the restroom was, and she was supposed to ring my husband up when my SA went to wrap the two items. I was a bit of a Chanel whore on this European excursion, so pardon the seemingly stuck up reviews but this Chanel store had excellent attention and fantastic staff. They were very friendly and made you feel like it was a complete buying experience whether you were asking for a $100 item or a $4000 item. I was able to find the rare classic CC earrings in plain and swarovski studded CC earrings that were post back and not clip on! I was also delighted that the sales staff was so friendly and kept bringing me additional things to try on that I liked and I found quite a few jewels (no pun intended!) in the bunch. They made the purchasing extremely easy and also made sure we knew about the tax free and filled out the forms for us. The service was excellent and I highly recommend this store to anyone since their selection of hard to find Chanel items are amazing. read more

I love what I purchased from this store, however I don't like the Asian salesman who he thought he helped me but he not, he just looking at me & waiting if I gonna buy one of the bag style on the shelves or not, he never gave me an idea when I told the strip not that long actually like I expected, I asked him if he has the other model with beige color, he left upstairs looking for other beige colors bags. The sales lady was very helpful actually when he went upstairs, she gave me opinion what colors the bags that I've tried from the shelves (only 3 bags), then the salesman back, he act manipulated to the sales lady before even she finished talking, he act he was helping me (but he is not at all), he said no other bags beige colors, finally I decided to buy the one that I've tried on the shelves, I am happy with this model, however when I checked online there the smaller & bigger size should be available on beige colors too, I wish that salesman gave me an idea that this model available other sizes too, I think actually I asked if there smaller or bigger size, he said they don't have other sizes, but online said it tells there smaller & bigger sizes. If you visit this store, you look Asians but not even speak Chinese (I don't speak Chinese), don't let that Asian salesman thought that he can help you, but he is not instead just looking for you to decided yourself, he not even provide me drink or any ideas !!! Look for the Spanish looking lady (she didn't tell me her name, but she very knowledge and nice), or other sales ladies, they seems knowledge for the items, colors, size, etc.. I am very happy with my bag...that I finally picked myself, I feel the size is perfect too than smaller or bigger size, but I am not happy with the salesman who just looking at me and waiting for me to buy. I visited the Chanel store in Barcelona in hopes of purchasing a new purse. Perhaps other people who visited had a better experience, but I stood at the handbag counter for about 15 minutes and no one helped me. The store was busy, but none of the sales staff even acknowledged me. Too bad for them because I knew exactly which purse I wanted, and I probably would've purchased it without much hesitation. After waiting for service, I decided to go to the Louis Vuitton instead. Maybe they didn't want to help me because I had a Louis Vuitton purse. read more

What I like most about this store is that they did not pressure me into buying. This was my third time in Barcelona visiting, I was debating whether to purchase a Chanel purse to add to my collection or a Hermes purse. While browsing the SA helping me was very helpful and gave me good information. She even advised me that I can think about my purchase and come back the next day. They had a lot of items in stock that are very hard to find in the U.S. and Paris Rue Cambon. I ended up purchasing a Hermes purse and purchased some Chanel perfume for my mom and friend. On 2 different days of our trip, we attempted to visit the Chanel store in Barcelona. However, on both occasions as soon as the doorman saw us he immediately closed the wide open doors. He stated it was because there were too many people inside. We looked through the windows and didn't see more than 2 people inside. The first day, we just left. The second day, we waited out of his view and saw he let a White couple inside a minute later! Nobody had left the store. We came right up to the door after we saw this, he looked at us guiltily as he had been caught. We stood there watching him. Another older Asian lady went up to the door, which he looked reluctant to allow in. As soon as he did, a Blonde woman came over looking angry, reprimanded him. Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere. Chanel needs to treat all people equally. I will not support a business who does not do so. read more

My experience here is mixed. The staff was attentive but the selection was modest. We were told this is because we were near end of season. There were plenty of items in general, but not much available in classic style. Still I found a couple of purses that I like, and ultimately picked the new medium boy bag in black caviar. This is when things got a little weird. Somehow, the SA wrapped and wrote up the *old* medium instead. When my husband paid, he was not aware that there are two styles and paid the correct price for old medium. When I opened the box that night, my mouth hit the floor. So we went back to exchange it. Luckily, they still had the original new medium, so we could make it right. Then, after the cashier updated the paperwork, and we paid the price difference, the cashier handed me the bag with the boxed purse and we left. For some reason, it didn't feel right - so I stopped outside the store to check. The cashier had handed me the same bag that I had just returned! With the old medium! Of course, then I was upset and went straight back in the door. They realized immediately what had happened, apologized profusely, and handed me the right bag. It was a bit of a stressful transaction, but everything ultimately worked out. read more

I was looking for certain bag and I asked the SA and he pointed to me said we didn't have and walk away. He did not even offer me to see other bags or drinks. This store was great. I visited twice on my trip and although I only bought one of the less expensive items the employees still made me feel very comfortable and were a pleasure. It wasn't too busy and I was encouraged to ask to look at whatever I wanted as well as having items brought to me by my SA's recommendation. I love my purchase and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, when we got back, it was a national holiday in Barcelona and the store was closed. Our flight was the next day and we wouldn't have enough time to pick it up.
