Unique Weddings in New Orleans - Unique Weddings helped our bride bring the Roaring 20's to life in the heart of the French Quarter.

In short, this team makes MAGIC, people! Brittani is the ultimate professional, providing guidance and advice from her deep level of experience in the industry and her lifelong familiarity with the local area. She brings calm and compassion to what could otherwise have been difficult to navigate situations (weather scares, last minute guest changes, family dynamics), essential for an out-of-town and sometimes anxious bride. She is supremely organized, timely and responsive, taking advantage of technology and her own flexibility to ensure communication is as convenient as possible. She is also an outstanding creative, designing layout, logistics and decor solutions to fit and exceed whatever initial vision you might have had. Most importantly, we felt cared for, listened to and prioritized as a couple, from our first conversation with Brittani through the end of our wedding night, despite the thousands of details she and her team were handling in the background simultaneously. Our non-traditional wedding in the French Quarter was filled with love, live music, food, parading, dancing and laughter with a decidedly New Orleans spirit and flair and our diverse group of guests from all over the world and all walks of life continue to ask when we'll get married again! So much of that is due to Brittani, the Unique Weddings team and Brittani's design arm, New Orleans Candlelight & Decor, who are all pros at making events like our wedding truly unforgettable.

My husband and I were married in March of this year. We met Michelle and Brittani in 2009. From the…read morestart we we were confidant they could provide us the wedding we wanted. Michelle was able to quickly know our taste and priorities. She had wonderful recommendations to make the day complete. We very much enjoyed our days spent with her in planning our wedding and she, Brittani, and Yasmin were excellent the day of. Our wedding was as gorgeous as we could have hoped for. These ladies took excellent care of us on the day of the wedding. They kept us on schedule all while providing a calming energy. During the reception they were at the same time in the background yet, making sure we all were having a great time and my husband and I always had what we needed. I cannot say enough about Unique Weddings in New Orleans. They really know what they are doing and are an asset to the whole endeavor from planning to the day of.

Louisiana Castle

This review is from the standpoint of a guest at a wedding…read more Several months ago some friends sent me an invite to their wedding. When I noticed the location said "Louisiana Castle" I was a bit confused. I had not only never heard of such a place, but to find it was located on the outskirts of Franklinton made me even more surprised. The Drive The drive to the castle is beautiful. Once you leave the New Orleans area and get north of Covington, you would think you are in a whole different world. The terrain changes to rolling hills and there are horse farms and quaint little towns. I suggest a wedding that begins during the daylight hours so that your guests can enjoy the view. The Venue The castle is pretty neat looking. I would have preferred a real moat, but outside it was definitely castley. The inside rooms were fairly well laid out and while the tables were close together, I didn't feel cramped like I have at other venues. Outside was a beautiful patio that had a very remote country feel. I could have spent hours under one of the umbrellas drinking beer, but that would have been pretty antisocial. The Wedding Area The space for the ceremony is located outside in front of the castle. The weather was perfect for the wedding I attended, but I would imagine rain and heat could make things difficult. The entire area was wired for sound so we didn't miss any of the vows, etc. Summary If you are looking for a unique wedding venue, you can't go wrong with a castle in the middle of the woods. NOTE: If anyone else wants to invite me to a wedding here, holla. I am always a fun guest.

Trust Jennifer B to come up with a truly unique wedding venue. Loved the kitschy castle theme. And…read morethe wedding planner lady who told us what to do (I got to be a bridesmaid) was on point. The outdoor vows ceremony location was lovely amongst the pines...I just had to convince little miss flower girl to not wander off to pick up the pine cones. The reception hall is a little more generic...well, reception hall. I wish it had been warmer to have enjoyed the back patio more, especially since I learned after the fact that there was a full suit of armor back there. Be warned that this is not some historic building built by a crackpot in the 19th century. This is totally modern venue with a retro look. The parking lot was unpaved and did not have much lighting so was little challenging after dark...in heels. But c'mon on your in the country. I only wish we could have take photos while wearing/using the swords/helms/other armor-type items. Understandably we were not allowed to remove them from the walls. At lease Jennifer & her new husband got to take photos while ensconced on the thrones.
