They had no top shelf bourbon, no live roulette. The restaurant (Match) was literally the worst service I have had in years. As an apology for taking 1hr-20 minutes to cook our meal (maybe 25 customers in the place) they gave us 10 slot machine vouchers... but, you had to go to the front of the casino and fill out the paperwork to become a card member. Really, government tracking for ten dollars Canadian? They sat never say never, I will NEVER step foot into this river of sadness again. I really just want my three hours of life back!

We took a URIDE up to Cascades Casino and everything was great until we got inside. Since we had a single drink at our restaurant, half hour earlier, our breath smelled like beer. We were denied into tho Casino, even though we only had 1 beer each. My buddies and I showed our 2 pieces of identification and everything was okay until a worker told 1 of my buddies his breath smelled like beer. He proceeded to tell the lady we have just arrived from Moxies downtown and we had a single beer each before we arrived at the casino. She then called security because we were to "intoxicated" to enter even though it was our first beer of the day. 5 minutes later my buddies and I are talking to police officers outside about our "public intoxication" upon entering the building and how we are not aloud to play slots because we have had a single beer upon arrival. If I were to go to any casino to have a good time with friends this would be the last place I would think off. If you have read this far you should understand at this point to go to chances casino to have a fun and enjoyable experience.

Thick white towels and modern bathrooms. High quality bedding and comfortable mattresses. Special touches such as a microwave for guest use and a non-traditional vending machine with interesting snacks are a bonus. The rooftop (actually 2nd floor) pool/hot tub area is spectacular. Kids and adults alike enjoy using the space. Poolside bar and meal service is available. Staff routinely maintain the pool area, picking up stray towels and dirty dishes. The upgraded executive package is a good deal, as it includes underground parking and a breakfast voucher for the on-site restaurant. The breakfast menu has many options from pancakes to eggs Benedict, and the food is high quality and prepared to order. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Kamloops and is steps from a full-service grocery store, a large drug store, and many cafes and boutiques. I wear earplugs when sleeping, so I cannot comment on room-to-room noise. I don't feel that the noise transfer between rooms is atypical for a building of it's age/construction type. I sleep better here than at home. Overall exceptional experience. I look forward to staying here.

When we arrived the building was updated and modern. Smelled nice and it was hot that day, however the hotel was cooled to a good temp. The staff was very friendly. Went to the room and it was so-so. Not the best room, but not bad enough to go to a different hotel. The area of concern was the riff raff they allow in the hotel. The level of clientele was low. We really go to know this when we were trying to sleep. People were partying in the hallway and were very loud. We called down to the manager and they said they would take care of it. We waited and the noise came back. I called down again and management said they would be removing the loud guests shortly. The noise then stopped, however a good night's sleep was out of the question at this point. Not sure if it is the proximity to the casino, but the quality of customers was very low during our stay.

Since then until the pandemic, the food is not as good, smaller portions and higher prices. If you want to work there, I highly recommend that you do not. Unless you like being bullied by co-workers, supervisors and management. If you like that, then you will love the gossip that goes on there. The management claims that they are against gossip, yet, management is the most prolific gossipers. If that suits you fine, know that if you are NOT a favourite of management, you can and will be fired for gossip. Matter if fact, they can and do fire people for little or no reason. They could have a hissy fit and someone is gone. They know that they can fire you, for any or no reason, provided that that they give you severance pay. And they exploit that. So if you like walking on egg shells, be gossiped about by management and or being bullied, then this is an amazing place to work. I myself would never step foot in this establishment again ever again. Go to Kamloops or Kelowna or Vernon instead.

I was appreciative of the lactose-free yogurt provided. Didn't see oat milk but I suppose I could have asked. We got a room on the 4th floor by the elevators and soundproofing was good since we didn't hear the hallway music. Must have been slow season since we didn't really hear people talking that much. Staff were all very pleasant including Milan who checked us in. Pool and hot tub were well-kept except for the one night that we noticed dirt at the bottom just as we were leaving. Nice to see oranges, apples, and bananas available all day at the beverage station in the lobby.

We had the ceremony, dinner and yee-haw bash after (two Irish families) nice rooms and even the uptight relatives were happy with the place.
