The company has always been good to me. When a hurricane destroyed my car and part of our house, the claims process was easy. They've been fair and offer many different discounts. Came back to Maine 3 years ago. Lisa's office (I've worked with her and Kyle) is great! Everything is always taken care of (changing policies, moving accounts, getting new quotes etc) very quickly and professionally. One of the few businesses I know I can ask and then forget about it because it WILL be done. Filed for reimbursement on a lockout today, the check was ready within a couple hours. Awesome!!! I've been loyal so State Farm for a while. As long as I'm here, I will work with this specific office.

Recently moved to maine this office cold called me since I was with State Farm before moving…read more Thought that was great at first but from there I had nothing but issues with this office. Just to get my stuff switched over it was a nightmare. I would try calling in and sometimes it took days for me to get a call back if at all. Took for ever to just get the account setup then after that they started messing up my payments. That was the last straw, they called me saying I had held my payment, which I had not done. I talked to Peggy and she was unhelpful and rude. Never apologizing and saying the issue was I was paying with a credit card, blaming me. This office is disorganize, and has no customer service except for one women, Lizzy. The rest of them can care less, once they had me as a customer they dropped me and only want their money and do not care at all about having happy customers.

Not one time in the years that I have been served by the Rick Moylan Agency have I ever felt less than 100% confident that my needs were being honestly evaluated. No slimy salesman stuff. This is one of only a very few businesses that I feel holds to a standard of integrity that would have made my grandmother proud! No one likes to pay for insurance, but it's a lot more painful if you think you've been sold something you don't understand, don't need, or costs more than you need to pay. Rick knows his stuff, and I feel like he has never recommended anything to me that he wouldn't want his own family to have. Don't tell the big boss, but he even tries to save me money! Frankly, I can find something negative to say about almost anything, but can't come up with a thing here. I was seen in about 3 to 5 mins. I was in the office to renew my homeowners insurance and to bundle it with insurance on my car. There were several questions I was curious about. When I asked why my policy was for 280k when assessed value of home was only 135k I was told I would need to show appraisal...this made no sense to me. I own the house, no mortgage, why would I need to provide any documentation on what I wish to insure it for, unless I'm trying to insure for more than it's worth but that is not the case. I asked about modifications to additional coverages as I'm trying to get the cheapest rate and frankly they aren't anything I'm interested in. I was told I would not be able to modify it at this time but if I paid premium then I could amend and receive a refund of the difference.i then tried to get info on renewal of car insurance. I had regretfully allowed it to expire in June 26. I was told my policy would increase. When I asked why. I guess Ms Coburn, already irritated at my questions, called me rude. I stood up and walked away without comment. When I was walking away Ms Coburn began to hollar at me wishing me a nice day even as i had already left the office. I find this type of behavior to fall into the category of poor customer service. I was extremely surprised by the agents response and in all the years I've had insurance at this office it was the first time I was not satisfied with service rendered i will not be back to this office for any insurance needs

My customer service interactions with the front desk since then, however, have been awful. I am relatively young and new to the insurance world--I learned while at the Town Hall that my insurance card expired two months ago. I called D&H and the woman on the other end came off as very rude, I felt she was yelling at me and scolding me. Apparently my coverage lapsed in April and they sent me mail about it--but I never received that mail. I had mail from the address I signed up with forwarded to my new one, although I had not yet informed the insurance company of my new address (thought the post office forwarding would work in the mean time). The woman came off as accusatory--she seemed to be yelling at me and told me I should have let them know about my change of address, and now my rates will be higher because almost no one will take a client who has lapsed in coverage. I should have let them know sooner, yes, but the way she spoke to me made me feel defensive and attacked. I also want an insurance company that will try to reach me with more than just a letter (phone call, maybe) if there is an extra form I have to fill out that I wasn't aware of before my coverage lapsed. You'd think they would have called me if I had to do something to keep my coverage. They've lost my business

I would rate this company negative if I could. My 90 year old dad worked 30 years with CMP. All his…read moreretirement paperwork showed he had a $33000 life insurance policy with Met life until death. He retired in 1994. His online benefits as of Nov , 2024 still show a $33000 policy. After his death, it took months for my siblings and myself to obtain payment. We each recieved $8200. We even received a letter informing us that was the expected amount for each of the four of us. Now, Met Life via mail is telling each of us we were overpaid!. The letter states that his original life insurance certificate had a line stating after age 65 his policy amount would be reduced by 10% yearly. Met life is saying the most it can be worth is $10000, so we each have to repay $5700!!. Horrible, Horrible company... Stay away!!!
