My expectations of an Elixia center is pretty high. The ones I've tried out before carries a higher…read moreclass than the one in Laksevåg. But spite of the location arrangements, the Elixia center offers a wide range of exercise classes, a nice selection of work out gear and a very nice group of staff. If you need any help, they are happy to help you - at least that's my experience. What I liked most about Elixia Laksevåg was probably that they have a hall where you can play squash and exercise for yourself. If you want to kickbox, do tabata, crossfit, and so on, you can do it in an own private hall. That is something that I miss with other fitness studios in Bergen. They also have personal trainer classes, so if you want to boost your work out with some help from professionals, this is definatly worth a try. They also have an in-body machine, where you can measure your muscle- and fat percentages, along with a lot of other interessting values. This is a good way to make reachable and motivational goals for your future workouts. If you live in Laksevåg, or close to it, I would reccomand you to try out Elixia. And remember this is only my opinion. My preferences for a fitness center is pretty high, so I would reccomand you to go there for youself and make up your own opinion. Who knows, you might love it.

Opened : 8. may 1999 18 hole forest course…read more Par: 73 71.5/145 Robert Hunt, PGA Golf Management UK design Wow a forest course with plenty of water and sand. The par 5 are long and greens are small. Bill Clinton said it was one of the hardest courses he had played according to local legend. A really nice beautiful walk through the splendid Norwegian nature. Vies of woods ponds lakes and fjords. Surrounded by majestic mountains even a few snow covered peaks. Lots of elevation changes with some dramatic holes! The course looks like it belongs in the mountain in which it is built but looks like it has been there for hundreds of years not the 15 or so it's been there. Has all the practice facilities and very friendly staff (and accommodating) as well as friendly locals. Even in a chilly rainy walking day this course was spectacular!!

The only reason I give this place three stars is because my 2.5-year old son absolutely LOVES…read morecoming here. In theory this place is perfect, but it has alot to work on. The equipment is great and most things seem to be of a high quality and very durable. The main area is probably for kids 4 and up (I'm guessing here since I don't have children that age), but there's tons of things my toddler can enjoy as well. There is also a smaller playarea for babies and toddlers, but mine gets a bit bored there in the long run since it's so small. There are slides, things ti climb on, a little bike area etc. It's made to be perfectly safe, but this is where they could have worked more on upkeep. There are several areas that are suppost to be closed off from children for safety reasons. It's closed off using zippers (and locked) so that people who work there can access the areas, the problem is just that these zippers break. The last time we were there anyone could have walked into an area with a fuse box and tons of wires. On that same occasion someone was vaccuming the place, and obviously took a break, because there was an industrial vaccum, with a crazy long cord just laying about unattended. A child could have easily hurt itself on that, or worse. I could say these are little things, but when it's one or two things like these every single time, it's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt. I've never tried any of the food there, and I hope I never have to. It's extremly overpriced and I've heard it's terrible. But since my toddler is beat after just one hour it's never been a problem. As I mentioned, it's perfect in theory. Children can wear themselves out with endless amounts of fun, and that's the reason we keep coming back. But what's probably the biggest problem is that the people that work here don't seem to care at all. I've only ever seen teenagers working here, and it's pretty obvious that they hate it. There are several rules here but I've never seen them enforced, such as having to wear socks (for hygenic reasons) and big children aren't suppost to go in the area for babies and toddlers. I'm not advising anyone to stay away, but just take a little trip to play a little and don't make a day of it. And I wouldn't let small children run around unattended.
