The best words I can use to describe this place are care, empathy and professionalism. First as you walk in, you have: Eley, she's kind, patient, professional, warm and welcoming. My hygienist: Maria (the best I've ever dealt with), she doesn't have a lot of availability but trust me worth the wait, she's soothing, kind, and truly understands one's nervousness and will make you feel that you are in the right place. Dental assistant Berna: she will listen to you and your needs, you're not just another patient as I've always felt she's present, she'll listen to my fears and helps me understands what's happening, we talk throughout the process until I'm comfortable. Dr Elizabeth Zogaib, she's got a very soft touch with needles, she's very understanding and empathetic. To all the people that I've dealt with here, thank you from the bottom of my heart, I know due to excessive gag reflex , nerves and past bad experiences I may not be the easiest client, but you all have made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I had to get a front tooth veneer done a couple years ago here. Then had to have it redone NINE TIMES before I decided to give up and not come back again. Way too much time wasted for it not having been done properly the first time. It's noticeably longer, discolored, and not symmetrical with my other front tooth. No other dentistry will fix it unless I get both of my front teeth redone. Why would I grind down a perfectly good front tooth just to make it (hopefully) match with my other one? This dentistry won't fix it even though I paid in full to have it done there. They told me I had to find my original dentist (Dr McClean) but after some digging I found out she had her license revoked. So - I'm basically SOL since she is no longer in practice. While you can see the comment the manager requested I call to discuss further details... I did within a week and left a message with the receptionist. All this time (months) has passed and no attempt was made to return my message. Note that my file is on record there at the office, with my personal contact information. Update: Dr Koyfman in Orlando fixed my botched veneer. They're taking many precautions around protecting everyone given the circumstances of COVID. I felt safe going there and didn't experience any anxiety. While getting a crown the assistant tore my tongue up and caused a lot of pain during the procedure. It was awful. I stupidly went back thinking it was a new assistant. Basically office staff wasn't trained much better. I got to appointment early to fill out paper work for insurance. The office was not open because they had a in-house meeting which ran late. We had an issue with my insurance and honestly I gave them the wrong card but then I went back and gave them the correct card but because of the time lapse, they could no longer do my full appointment and they would have to reschedule me. So I was 20 minutes early to my appointment. They're meeting ran over and now they want to reschedule my appointment because of that. I've already missed a day of work for the appointment, and I certainly wasn't giving this place any more of my time or my insurance money. Don't walk away but run!!! read more

Don't not waste your time with this dental office. Not only have they had multiple change in dentists they don't seem confident in their ability to do any work. My son went there for a chipped tooth around his implant. I called to make sure they do this work and felt comfortable doing the work as not to waste my son's time. They reassured me they deal with implants and their crowns. He went once and was measured for a new tooth and went back for the tooth. He sits down in the room and they brought him back up to the front with an address of another local dentist office because the dentist didn't feel comfortable doing the work! After he already paid over 1300.00 for one visit! Also, several attempts at making an appointment and the office changing multiple times each appointment for myself, I went in today for a standard cleaning and refused to do because my systolic pressure was slightly higher. I called my insurance and they stated that for a standard cleaning no blood pressure is needed to be taken. It is also not a legal requirement as the dentist stated. My insurance told me that I can refuse any blood pressure reading or work I do not want done. It's funny how they took all X-rays and had the dentist check my teeth but refused the cleaning. So my insurance can be charged and no X-rays can be done at another dental office. The front staff and hygienist were apologetic and understood my situation. Im sure as their track record is what it is this dentist won't last either. They've had multiple dentists. The staff acknowledged this as well. read more

I gave them my insurance information so they can check my benefits. They came back and said they have verified everything with insurance and the procedures are covered. Later, I received a bill with some stuff not covered. I questioned and they blamed it on insurance. The reality was they did not ask insurance the right questions. I then called insurance and got clear information. I have had this insurance for a long time and never had any issues. Never have I had any issues with dentists. Also, this procedure was not really necessary. Shitty business tactic. On top of that, the front ladies were super defensive and very unprofessional. They lack training and common courtesy. As a nurse practitioner with a doctorate and a dual master's degree, I have had personal problems with this practice. I feel my tooth was chipped during a procedure. I went multiple times now to not have the issue directly fixed by the current practice in Champions Gate, but rather have their treatment plan previously recommended to be contraindicated. While they look impressive on the outside, in the inside, they have caused more damage. I highly recommend that you stay away from this practice and consider alternatives in the area. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left, everyone was so beyond kind and respectful. I went in for the fire time and had the most amazing experience after going to a dentist that wasn't very amazing. Dr. Sulieman was so kind and so respectful when explaining my situation, she didn't try to force her opinion on me, she just told me how it was and what my options were. The MOST amazing part was when all of the girls from the front desk (and my lovely hygienist) came into the room and sang me happy birthday, then gave me a card with all of their signatures, the doctors' signatures, and everyone's best birthday wishes on it. This truly warmed my heart, and really made me appreciate how kind they all are. If you want your appointment dates and times changed every single time you book, then this is the place for you. I have never booked an appointment and the same date and time was kept. They're constantly calling saying someone has to leave early and I need to change the appointment time, or the dentist won't be in and I need to change the date... I live a very busy life and don't have time for that. Oh, and today they called me 6 times in 10 minutes because they needed to change my appointment and they "needed to know asap." It's ridiculous. Dr Sam Dirawi and his staff are awesome. I needed a crown on my front tooth and I was very self conscious about how it would look. He did such a fantastic job matching the color and the shape of the tooth that even my daughter (who is an Orthodontic Assistant) was impressed (and she isn't easy to impress). I am no longer self conscious about smiling or pictures. Dr Dirawi is extremely personable and friendly- he made me comfortable every step of the way (I am a bit of a wimp), and he made sure I was fully numb before proceeding and continued to check on my comfort level through the process. The fact that they provide a detailed billing breakdown meant I didn't have any unhappy surprises when reaching the front desk, and all of the support staff were awesome. read more

SCAMMERS!!! They will bill your insurance things that you didn't ask for and force you to pay for it. It's ridiculous the few times I fell for this place believing they would be better but every time I've gone, they'd make a free teeth cleaning cost $50 plus. Visited this dental office last Fall. I was new to the area and it is not far from home. Saw Dr. Acosta briefly as he followed the script of the dental hygienist who was cleaning my teeth. I felt like I was at a play, their lines were so forced. It was obvious they are a team trying to make people believe they need their teeth cleaned by a special process every three months. To put insult to injury the hygienist said " I will clean your teeth this time, but no more unless you agree to this treatment plan" Do not hold your breath waiting for me to come back. I was totally disappointed with this dentist. I have been going to the dentist every year. I just moved to Davenport from Miami and was searching for a new dentist to go to. I had a comprehensive exam and the tech recommended that I have a deep-cleaning, however I told her that I have never had one and didn't want it. The dentist came in and told me that he agreed, but I could sign a waiver and just get a cleaning - which I did. My insurance doesn't cover the deep-cleaning, just 2 regular visits a year and that is what I wanted. When I went to check-out and set-up my next appointment - I was told that for this appointment I would have to get the deep-cleaning. I asked why and she said because it was recommended by the dentist. I told her that I guess she just lost a new patient. They like to do the work first then tell you the price after and then up that price. What if you can't afford it? Are they just going to put the tooth back in? They then tell you they are going to mail you the bill and they never do. On the follow up exam tell you that you owe them the money and that they never sent you the bill and will just give it to you there like they are doing you some favor. Some advice for this place, agree on a price or payment plan first before you do the work so the person knows whether they can afford it not. Had a wonderful Experience today with Dr. Acosta and his amazing staff , normally I have a lot of anxiety at dental offices and feel judged but here I did not feel any of that. Visit 3- Decided to give them another chance. Wife and daughter went for cleaning. We received a bill month after their visit stating the insurance did not cover panoramic xray (Which might be unnecessary for someone without full grown set of teeth) for my 7 year old. I spouse asked the dental assistant again and again to only do what is covered by insurance. She was told that everything is covered. Now we received a bill for $105, my spouse called them and had a taste of their rude customer service again. The lady on the other side of the line was rude and condescending. WHAT A SHAME! I hope the OWNER CONTACTS me regarding this. Visit 2- 10/14/2020 appointment time 5:00 pm Called at 4:40 pm and asked if dentist was on time. I was told that they will call me 10 minutes before the doctor is ready. Got a call at 5:25 pm. I was there at 5:33 pm I was in shortly and was talking to nurse who was talking to me about my dental history and educating me on oral health. At 5:50, I ask them if doctor is running late and the front desk lady shows up asking for my feedback.(confront me) I told her that I called and still you are running late. Arrived to my 7 year old appointment for them to tell me he could not get taken care of because he had cavity/cracked tooth and was in pain when I SPECIFICALLY TOLD RECEPTIONIST THAT EXACT SAME THING WHEN MAKING THE APPOINTMENT. MADE ME WAIT 2 hrs in waiting lobby to tell me that all they could do is give me referral of pediatric dentist. Now i have to wait until Monday to call and make appointment for when they have availability while my son is on and off pain. On top of that they could not provide me with a letter of excuse for the school since I had to take him out early because he was not seen so "TECHNICALLY HE WAS NOT A PATIENT". Please don't waste your time or money. Went for a cleaning, after more then an hour and a bunch of x-rays, still didn't have my teeth cleaned. Instead, I got a plan to have an extensive process done which would require two additional visits and a $2000 payment. Seriously! I was later told the office is fairly new and cost 3M. We feel scammed. We gave them our insurance information back in november of last year so they could check if all procedures were covered. I had excellent dentist coverage through my job. They came back to me and my husband (on separate occasions) saying most things were covered, my husband had to pay for something and he did so in office, when he left everything was $0 balance. Months later we received a bill at home saying we owed roughly $200 dollars. I called to see what this was about, but they said they couldn't discuss it with me, so my husband called. He spoke to someone and they said, in two separate occasions that they would recheck and if he didn't receive a call back, to not worry about it, it was taken care of. Well, we never received another call, so we assumed everything was ok. It's now June and we received a letter from a debt collector on behalf of Championsgate dentistry. How can someone send something to collections and play with people's livelihoods like this? without any regard for what that may do to their credit without even attempting to rectify the situation directly with the patient. I will never go there again. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Looking at other peoples reviews, it seems this is just a scam they pull on patients. read more

This was the worst place I have ever gone to I had a bridge put in the front of my mouth and it started to come out . I paid $10,000 to have it replaced. Was making an appointment and was talking to a receptionist to make an appointment. She was new and didn't know me. I explained to her that I originally had caps put on my mouth years ago and they had to be replaced. She accused me of referring to my caps as a term I never heard of as wanting to shoot her. I had been called about it and was in shock that I am a person that didn't know what that meant. I am 68 and white..never heard of the word. I am now left with a mouth that cost me 10k and my husband passed away recently and do not have the money to replace them. I have no alternative but to either live not being able to eat or get a refund or sue them for malpractice. If I could give them a 0 I would they treated me Ike garbage. We took our 7 year old daughter there for some minor fillings. Over the Memorial Day weekend two fillings came out with one filling being bigger than the other. When we went into the office for a checkup, we were told that in fact they could not fix the tooth, but rather need to go to another dentist for a root canal, crown and of course all expenses on our own. Not to mention that this filling was done 30 days ago and the Dentist that performed the work has mysteriously left the practice. I had recently moved to the area and was looking for a dentist in the area. Champions Gate Dentistry is in the heart of Champions Gate and is a very nice office. Receptionist/Office staff were very friendly from the moment I called them on the phone to make an appointment, face-to-face when I visited the office for the first time, to when I had to check out. The office is very nicely decorated and has complimentary water, coffee/tea for your convenience when you walk in for your visit. My Dentist was Dr. Nick Potter, DMD, MA and he was so friendly. He is Christian, has great bedside manner, very thorough in explanation and takes his time to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your dental diagnosis. The hygienist was also very nice (I feel bad that I forgot her name) and willing to answer any questions you may have. This dentistry uses state of the art technology and explain everything, as you are able to see everything (the x-rays and digital photos taken and treatment plan/billing) all on the computer screen in front of you- there is no hiding of any why's you may have about your visit. They were able to get me in the following day after my initial call and they were able to schedule me the same week as my initial visit. I love that I don't have to wait weeks/months for my next appointment. I do go in a couple of days for more treatment to be done and will update this review if needed after my visit. I am very happy to have found this dentist and look forward to becoming a longtime patient of theirs. I greatly encourage you to visit this dentistry if you are looking for one! read more

BEWARE: I was a new patient here and had to get a root canal. After the procedure my tooth was sore way longer than it should've been. I was terrified to find out that the doctor was no longer there and the women in the office who I spoke to on the phone and had left voicemails on my phone gave me multiple, different reasons as to why he left. When I returned to get my crown replaced I asked a dental assistant why he had left and she said it was a secret and they wouldn't even tell her. The office still won't give me a direct answer. I'm not sure what's more terrifying, a sketchy doctor or a dishonest office! Now I have to pay more to get another dentist to look over this work! read more
