The school is ranked 24th percentile compared to the other elementary schools in the district.. That means this school is performing far below national standards. School started August 2024 by October 2024 I withdrew my child. This school should be shut down.

Awesome school....,my child has attended from 6-to hopefully 8..my only hiccup is not the school,…read morebut the dekalb county's new attendance policy which is ...when a child is "absent, excused, with a drs' not etc.. checked out early, due to illness..etc.., checked in late etc.., they are considered - absent. your child may have dr's appt's w/ notes, checked out of 1-or more classes, for an appointment...but marked absent (mind you, they came to school and was checked out by a parent, guardian, or emergency contact). make it make sense!!! my child has never had any attendance issue, and i am offended about this. i've attended a meeting where other parents felt the same. Dekalb county...what is the problem here??? Parents are getting notifications that are appalling (to myself, husband, and scholar). Notes that are sent in are not getting to the proper channels, and I do have email receipts to justify. I am not here to bash and please, excuse the all caps, my business requires it. it never comes off..I am not yelling. However, I am so dispappointed in this years adminisration. Should this be directed to Mountain Industrial??? Please reply with where it should go. The attendance person was in the meeting but had little to add. I will gladly send an email to the proper chanels. I may not word things correctly, but I am sure you get what I am saying. When i was in attendance in one of the recent meetings, the majority had the same feelings.

This school is by far the WORST school my child had ever attended. I am currently at the"Open…read moreHouse" and it is a rat race. It is completely unorganized. Firstly, why do we have to wait in a hideous line for two hours just to verify residency. Why can't we go to our child's classroom and do that? Wouldn't that be more logical? My child went here last year and the teachers are overworked, their classrooms are overcrowded and therefore they don't care. This school is an expert at taking the joy of your child going back to school and making it a horrendous nightmare. By far, the worst school ever! Please do something about this schoolboard! If your goal is to educate, start with yourselves and make numerous changes. It is unethical to ask order and organization from our children when the administration can't even get it together! The worst school EVER! Do not send your child here unless you want a lack of education and a headache. Sincerely, my child will be attending another school shortly. This is school is just ridiculous first I call this school for many times& try to reach out my sons…read moreteacher & never got a response back & even tho I keep calling to find out some information they just don't seem to wanna cooperate they just Pretend to care just to get a pay check out of it & yet I still drive up to school to get some actual information & yet no help at all after I register my kids to an actual school that cares I'm still trying to contact the school & drive up there to return the Chrome books nobody is there after I come home I send an email out to the counselor I finally get a call back after I spoke to him he didn't even care to hear what I had to say & not even an apology I received after I told him I want to return the Chrome books he asked what time I could arrive & even though I didn't arrive he gave me other call the only seem to care about the chrome books & money not even the education I'm very disappointed in this school I'm glad my kids are in a better school & getting the education they need.

I am strictly giving this school 3 stars because of the teachers. This school has some awesome &…read morededicated teachers. They really care about the education and life experiences your child is receiving. Now the principal... While I do not have any current issues with her I simply do not believe she is working for the benefit of the school. I never feel welcome when I am there unless I am doing something in regards to parent/teacher conferences, honors programs, etc. The morale of the the teachers is low. I continue to enroll my children at Allgood in hopes that this becomes the place that the parents, teachers & students all can grow and learn. OR... I have enough money to send my kids to private school.
