Quick and easy key copying. The kiosks in Home Depot, Vons, etc can't make copies of all keys. They would be $12 each and mailed to me. I needed to find an expert, who knew what they were doing. if you are a business that states your hours are 8-430p ,then you should be there until 430p. this has happened twice to me in the last few months. you go to a business that should be open, according to the hours THEY post, and you race to get there , and they have closed early. If you say you're open till 430p, then stay open till 430p. if you can't swing that, then say you close at 4pm. its very simple. I went there today, raced to get there, got there 420pm. I wanted spare keys 2003 Toyota Sequoia because the original keys were getting worn down from 17 years of use and sometimes, they were getting stuck and couldn't turn the ignition. There is a transponder chip inside the keys, and the dealership where I bought the car wanted to charge $47 for each replacement key and $150 for an hour of labor to program it. There was no way I was going to pay $200 for keys when spraying lubricant into the ignition was getting me by and i had 3 working keys. I found out online that the key blanks cost about $2 wholesale and it takes 5 minutes to program it. I bought 2 key blanks on Amazon for $15 and started calling around to find a locksmith to just cut the keys without programming them. The first place I called specialized in auto key replacement. He told me that "honestly, the key blank only costs me $2, so your bringing in your own blank doesn't help me much". He basically wanted $150 - not much better than the dealership. The 4th place I called said they don't cut outside keys. (Outside being keys not bought from them). I told him that I saw a YouTube video where you can simply hold the original master key against an unprogrammed key, and it works. This place was willing to do it for $40/key. The 2nd place I called was actually very helpful, because they referred me to Champion and let me know it would be $65 for a mobile fee even if I were to drive to him. Kim was super nice on the phone and told me she would be open until 4PM. It would be $2.50 per House key, and $2 for just cutting the auto keys, but couldn't guarantee they would work. I went at 3PM and she was done cutting my 6 keys 20 mins later. I manually programmed the auto keys (took 30 mins because getting it into programming mode is a challenge.) Now, I have two good replacement keys that are working well. Very happy with the result. Great customer service. I found out that they just had their 20 year anniversary of owning the business. I am not surprised, because i had a great experience and will be coming to them for all my locksmith needs in the future. Kim's husband, Robert, runs the mobile portion of the business, while she holds down the fort. The building used to be an ATM, so it is really conveniently located in the parking lot of a strip mall right next to the road. Very easy access was a bonus! Highly recommend! read more

I physically walked to this lil lock shop from the nearby bank, but they do have their own parking. It was a pleasant experience from the start and Kim (I believe it was Kim from the other reviewers) was able to identify and cut my key blades for my Keyport. We had an issue with a controlled security key that was locked in a utility room, and Kim and Robert immediately came up with a Plan A, B, and C to help me out quickly. $79 service fee plus fee to change locks. VERY AFFORDABLE. I was in dire need of a locksmith to safely get me into my garage door, which wasn't working anymore. Robert came 10 minutes early and knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He carefully picked both locks on the garage door and then proceeded to try to re-program the garage door opener (something I didn't even know could be done). He would NOT accept a tip. Great experience! Had to get a second ignition key for my RV. Went to the Rancho Bernardo kiosk. It turned out that the key has a chip and had to be cut and programmed. Have seen dealers that want anywhere from $250 to $500 to make one of these keys. Kim was wonderful and very professional. Champion only charged $48 for the cutting and programming. wow, robert woods is fantastic. i was in shock with how robert truely understands customer service. what a fantastic experience. i knew there were honest people still around. we all know what its like t0 get a car key made these days. $$$150-250 these days. well, robert helped me save money and only charged me for labor and that seemed too little. i did bring the keys to be cut but i did this same thing to another vehicle 6 months ago and someone tried charging me $140 and that was only cutting 1 key. robert did two keys for less then my daily starbucks coffee. hands down you have just made me a permanent customer for as long as i live here. thank you robert for your excellent customer service. to the owner of champion lock and safe.....dont lose this employee.... he is one of the last who understands what true customer service is all about. read more

After going to a few national home improvement stores to have the keys cut, I was turned away because I didn't purchase the key from them which they didn't even carry in stock.
