The install was scheduled around 1-2 weeks out and the crew came to install everything in 2 days.

So if I had done a review on the first install it 100% would have been 1 star. Apparently I had…read morereceived defective carpet, so it would pull out easily and also the carpet had a pattern stain that you could clearly see once vacuumed. It also had several gaps where the seams met. The installers assured me this was normal and that the seams would fade. I was shocked considering the price we paid for the carpet. Also, I asked a few experts in the area and they also agreed this was not correct at all. Well two weeks later and it honestly looked worse. So I called them back. They "fixed" the seams they said and left. I didn't have a chance to look before they left as I was on a work call. I checked shortly after and same deal. I ended up calling my project manager at Sunn and she came right out to check. Well lo and behold, she immediately could tell something was wrong even though the installers assured me twice that everything was ship shape. She had me send over a piece of the carpet to get tested by the vendor. That ended up being about a one month waiting period. The vendor got back to me and agreed that the carpet was defective and offered a full replacement at zero charge. They were extremely compassionate and empathetic, so it made me feel much better since the installers made me feel like I was going nuts. So we got the second install done on the carpet and it is MUCH better. There are still issues at a couple seams, so I am not 100% thrilled. But it did take care of the major issues we had. To be honest, I was pretty surprised the whole time that the GM or owner of Sunn carpet didn't follow up on this at all. The only thing that saved them from a one star review was their project manager to be honest. So I am so appreciative of her help in all of this. But I do think that better quality control would help this company a lot. Also, a follow-up after install to ensure customer satisfaction should be standard. But it is what it is. I would be a bit hesitant to use them for my next fooring project given the circumstances. But at least it wasn't left in the state of the first install. DM me if you would like the first or second install pics. If I posted the first install pics here I think it would severely hurt this business, so I refrained from that.

Let me start by saying I really liked the Hicks family so this experience makes me disappointed. We…read morehad some water damage to our carpet and Carlton was very helpful while I was working with the insurance company. From there it went downhill. The crew showed up for install. Two installers were very nice and respectful however, on day 1 they spilled a lot of glue on the carpet. They left for the day and didn't tell us. I had to call Carlton and he came over the next day and tried to remove it which it was obviously ruined so his crew cut the large piece that was damaged and tried to replace it with another piece but since the carpet had a pattern it did not match the piece they cut which in turn threw all the other pieces off because they didn't have enough extra carpet. Once the install was done we noticed how terrible the installation was (see pictures). We called Carlton and told him this install was unacceptable. Mind you we spent about $9k on this. We decided to change the carpet out and asked for another crew. We also noticed this crew broke the light in our stairwell and didn't tell us. We did bring this to Carlton attention and he did credit the light to our bill. Second crew shows up to install the replacement carpet. Again very nice and professional. They started on Friday and were supposed to return on Saturday and didn't show up. I had to text Carlton about noon to find out where they were. His response was sorry they were supposed to text you. They arrived back on Monday but had bad weather so came back Tuesday but didn't finish. Next day we were out of town for thanksgiving so they didn't come back until the following Monday to finish. They did a better job but scratched our new couch moving it through the doorway. We brought this to Carlton attention and had pictures I had taken the morning of the install showing the couch was not scratched. Carlton response to this was sorry we are not a moving company, but they charge to move furniture!! We asked them several times to wear shoe covers on the new carpet but they didn't. All in all for an upstairs and stairwell we had to take 7 days off of work for this project. As far as the work goes, I would absolutely not recommend this company. For reference our house is about a $900k house. When you're spending this much money you expect a certain quality of work. When a company is in business as long as this one has been you expect a certain amount of expertise. I think the pictures will speak for themselves...

The BEST THING to happen in the past month was RIPPING out the Shaw Vinyl flooring that Green…read moreCarpet and their installers put in wrong causing the vinyl to buckle from underneath. What did their installers do wrong? They used WAY TO MUCH WATER in the leveling compound that NEVER dried and it destroyed the vinyl from underneath. For over 2 years, the water sat there destroying the floor from underneath. And you said... well there's moisture underneath. Well yes... but there was no leak in the slab, there was no leak in either of the two sinks, there was no leak in the toilet. There was no leak in the dishwasher and there was no leak in the water dispenser on the refrigerator. Green Carpet (and IF they contacted Shaw) then denied us any warranty claim. What a shame. We gave Green Carpet lots of money when we moved into this house with whole house carpet and wooden flooring in the dining room. Probable future business and recommendations are NO more. We hired a new company who ripped the vinyl floor out, you can see from the pictures enclosed. The tiles were wet underneath. The leveling had turned to powder. They then sanded the floor down properly, and then the entire floor was sealed (which had your installers done, the floor would have lasted MAYBE) We then had a very nice ceramic tile installed. Rest assured, you have not heard the end of me. After this flooring rip-out discovery in that we did nothing wrong, I will do what I can to social media post your company that the buyer should beware. We lost a lot of money, and you will likely lose a lot more money through the power of bad social media and reviews. It will be tagged to Shaw Flooring also. I hear on radio you are moving out of Windcrest. Good for the residents of Windcrest. Goodbye and Good Riddance
