Which caused the appointment to be longer than it should of been. 2nd visit ~ I was told to be seen 1st that I should arrived by 7:45am. Ok I arrived 7:50 and was there on a Wednesday until 8:30am not only were they closed but, no one showed up. Because of this I was late to work and never received service. 3rd visit ~ I should of knew that service wasn't going to be any better when the young lady that checked me in asked me my name 3-4times. The service here is extremely un-organized and again I was there longer than I should of been. Due to my frustration, of waiting, them not being able to find needles, patient info not being communicated that should of been discussed w/the nurse assistant, the Dr & nurse asst not being familiar with what is going on and familiar with where to locate what...I decided to pay the extra few dollars so, I would NOT have to worry about coming back if I can avoid it.

Dr. Rooks guaranteed my prescriptions were refilled, as requested by my local pharmacy. Her staff were on top of my records release request and her nurse Angela would call to let me know. I could check the pharmacy's app on my phone to verify the prescription was going through. Everyone at Tanner Primary Care made the transition as seamless as it could be, knowing I had lost my faith in the healthcare system. They are one of four physicians I trust to attempt to put their patients care first. I respect their commitment and courage. Even the doctors are about as friendly as a hungry bear in spring. I called one time to make an appointment to talk to my doctor about stress and anxiety because of events happening at work. They asked what my symptoms were and I said I had bouts of anxiety where my heart would race and I had trouble catching my breath. The person taking my information stopped there and insisted I was having a heart attack and needed to go to the ER immediately. I said I wasn't having a heart attack and again said I want to talk to my doctor about stress and anxiety. She wouldn't go any further and would not stop saying that I needed to go to the hospital. Since I couldn't make an appointment, I ended the call. About 20 minutes later they called to say I needed to come in immediately as they had the "crash cart" set up. I went in and my EKG was fine, so they said I needed to go take a stress test at Emory Hospital. Two weeks and $1000 in medical bills later, the result of the stress test was that my heart was healthy. And my doctor never asked about my anxiety. A few months later I tried again to bring up anxiety and insomnia and the doctor just said flatly, "I'm not giving you Xanax." I wasn't asking for dr This is just ONE experience out of several where they made me feel like I was a burden and not worth their time. Now that I've moved away and found a new doctor, I feel safe about posting this review. Seriously, I hope these people get a taste of their own medicine some day. F*** them.
