An experience like no other! We first had a delightful brunch here. So many tasty things to eat. They accommodated my vegetarian diet, which I appreciated. We took a tour through the cellars and chalk caves - very neat to see! We took part in tastings and loved everything we tried. Highly recommend!

Pricey, but possibly the best brunch I've ever attended. Upon arrival, we were served champagne and unique appetizers while we toured the grounds. We visited the salt caves and learned about how champagne is produced complete with a dramatic art finale. We then partook in a champagne tasting while dining on the MOST amazing food. Highly recommend!! Note, the tour guides spoke many languages so you never felt left out.

Really thoughtful and interesting tour combined with a beautiful outdoor area to drink after. Maison Ruinart has a deep connection with art, and you'll see that on the tour. They have a lovely house with some really neat pieces of art that you'll see before the tour. The cellars are nice and I'd recommend a jacket as it is quite cold. You'll taste a few wines and then have options on your own. After, you can either enjoy their outdoor garden and purchase food and/or drink to enjoy or you can buy wine to take home. They do not ship their wine so if you didn't drive don't expect to take any home.

First time tasting Ruinart champagne and first time visiting the house. We did a tour with tasting, and it was pretty interesting. The majority of the tour did discuss a lot of artist collaborations with the house and showed the collaborations. Apparently every year the house partners with a different artist to come up with an original piece of artwork inspired by the house. Our tour also took us down to the cellars and finished with a wine tasting. We had a choice between a regular rose/vintage rose and regular champagne/vintage champagne. Our tour guide was also good, she had a fun sense of humor.

I visited four champagne houses during my trip, Ruinart by far had the most beautiful house. Artwork and rich in history. We came early to the tour, carrying bags from a precious tour. The security guard after much negotiation with our driver let us come behind the gates. We were not allowed to go to a waiting area and found a curb to sit on. This house takes this champagne and history very seriously. I would recommend NOT to bring children.

We spent a great afternoon at Ruinart, pre-booked as its not the sort of place to turn up on the off chance! We were welcomed by the security guard who radioed through to the main house and then warmly welcomed by our hostess. Once the 8 of us had assembled we set off deeper and deeper into the remarkable underground chalk caves where the champagne has been stored for centuries. The caves are breathtaking, huge and ancient and full of thousands of bottles of champagne-in-waiting. After our explorations we returned to the main house and seated ourselves in the gracious drawing room for our tasting. We were offered two glasses of champagne each, blanc and rose. We liked them all however, the overall favourite was the Dom Ruinart Rose.... delicious. Now we can say that we have drunk €200 a bottle champagne. Oh yes. The champagne lifestyle.

The house loves art.

I am a bubbles nut, so hard to really pass up on one of the most prestigious brands in the world!…read more Took a train to visit the town of Reims and quite honestly made the jaunt on foot to visit the winery. Obviously, the Champagne region is split between to major cities, but I opted for Reims, mostly due to wanting to visit two large Champagne houses. The experience involved at Taittinger is similar to most in the area, but you are really coming for the history and the mass cave system! The tour itself takes a little over an hour but has some great photo ops as well as history to take in including the famous UNESCO cave site. You end with a flight of choice (What you prepaid for) and some time to mingle with the guests and staff. When it comes to the production side, do not expect to see much of that as its not included, but other local champagne houses give you more insights if needed. The bubbles themselves are divine, so no complaints there, but please keep in mind this is not a US based tasting where you could ask for additional pours, they are quite strict about your flight, so keep that in mind. Great stop and would highly recommend!

This was an extremely interesting tour. Our driver Trong Nguyen picked me up from my apartment…read morerental in Paris. He then handed out small bags of freshly made pastries and croissants to me and the other 4 people on the tour (along with hot coffee). The drive out to Champagne took a little under two hours. Our first stop of the day was in just one of the many hundreds of vineyards. Trong educated us on the growing, tending and harvesting of the grape vines - it takes around 2 years of training before you are allowed to work in the field. We then drove to a local champagne maker where we learned how the champagne was made, bottled, labelled and shipped - this also came with a complimentary tasting of three different champagnes I took a full day tour of Reims/Champagne on May 18, 2026. It was a really We then drove into Reims where we sat down for a mandatory two hour lunch - the entire City shuts down during this lunch period. Following lunch, we explored the Reims Cathedral where many of the French kings were crowned. The Cathedral itself was destroyed three times by the Germans - The Franco-Prussian war, WWI and WWII but has now been completed restored with private funds only. After visiting the Cathedral, we then drove to the Pommery Champagne House which features a champagne museum. We descended several hundred feet into the Caves (which run for miles underground). Pommery claims to store, 23,000,000 bottles of Champagne in its Cave. Following our visit to the Museum, we then have another champagne tasting before heading back to Paris arriving in Paris around 7:30 PM (just in time for dinner!). This was a very enjoyable and interesting day. I now feel that I have doubled my knowledge of champagne and have another 98% to go. Champagne is stunningly beautiful - vineyards stretching to the horizon. It is hard to imagine that this was on the frontlines of the trenches during WWI. I would highly recommend this tour. Sincerely, Peter S. Matorin

Champagne Pommery is an absolute must-do if you're visiting the Champagne region, and hands down…read morethe best cave tour I've ever experienced. From the moment you descend into the caves, it's clear this is not a standard cellar walk. The experience is elevated with curated music and contemporary art installations throughout the underground galleries, which adds an unexpected and immersive layer to the tour. It feels thoughtful, atmospheric, and incredibly well done. The guide provided rich historical context and detailed information, making the history of the house, the chalk cellars, and the champagne-making process easy to follow and genuinely fascinating. You leave feeling like you truly learned something, not just checked a box. The tour ends perfectly with a delicious champagne tasting paired with lunch, which was relaxed, elegant, and beautifully executed. The champagne was exceptional, and the overall flow of the experience felt seamless from start to finish. If you're deciding which champagne house to visit, put Pommery at the top of your list. This is not just a tasting...it's an experience you'll remember long after the last sip.

OOOH HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH…read more When I saw a photo of the interior of this bar/tasting room, I knew we HAD to make a stop here. I'm so glad we did. At Tresors, you can taste what seems like a million varieties of bubbly - all from smaller, local producers. This is the stuff you can't buy at home, people. In addition to having an incredible amount of product, the space here is incredibly designed and simply gorgeous. I don't want to give away all the fun, but you have to see if for yourself! We enjoyed our tasting, and had a great time visiting with the staff here. We happened to be the only people in the shop at the time, and it definitely felt special. And of course, the champagnes were all unique and delicious. A must-visit on any trip to Reims!

Sure, I could have ponied up…read more€30-50 for cellar tours and tastings at the big houses but let's face it, I can drink Tattinger and the like at home. I was really interested in trying small producers that don't export. That's where Tresors comes in - it's a tasting room coop with 27 small, local wineries showcased. Can we talk about the interior? So clever! There's a giant map of Champagne on the floor and each producer is numbered - pull down their bottle from the ceiling (see my pics) to learn more. I love that each winemaker is pictured - we were given a small booklet with more detailed info on each winemaker as well. Each day there are 8-10 bottles open for tasting. You can taste by the glass (price varies) or do a flight of 3 for €20. My husband and I each did one so we shared 6 wines from a light blanc des blancs to a more intense rose maceration. My favorite ended up being a 2008 vintage - it was perfection. I can't say enough about how great our sommelier Laure (hope I spelled it right!) was! She thoroughly explained each wine and the overall process that the vintners go through. My only small sad is that they really don't ship to the US (due to state specific regulations) so plan to perhaps taste a bunch here and perhaps grab a special bottle or two. Prices varied from €20/bottle to MUCH more but I can tell you that I truly liked each wine I tasted. This shop was one of the highlights of my vacation - it was everything I was looking for. They're close to the train station so definitely do not miss them!

They also have tours and tastings here at La Demoiselle, but if you have already been to the Pommery tour, you will be seeing something very similar, except that the atmosphere here is a bit more intimate and charming, as it truly is a fancy estate, vs. a large warehouse. They also have a large random selection of "unique" modern art exhibits on display here as well, such as a pudgy version of batman flying above the tasting room, and a floating chair trying to escape outside. The tours are also of the caves, and include tastings of the Millesimes d'Or. This place also required reservations in advance, but it was VERY empty as I think most people just stop at Pommery and pass this place by.
