After graduating, I can finally review my experience here as a whole. The professors (and friends)…read moredefinitely make the experience. Dr. Lyons, Dr. Eloi, Dr. Hanneman, Dr. Ownby, the list goes on of professors who are there for you and your success. These professors have gone through so much to help us succeed. Some students have been so disrespectful towards them when the students themselves fail. If you come to them with concerns in a respectful manner, they will reciprocate the gesture. If your grades are not where you would like them to be, go to the professors early. They will help you target what you need to work on and how to do so. Communicate with them. This is not to say you will have amazing instructors throughout the entire program, but work your way up the chain of command if you have a concern as you would as a nurse. It saddens me to hear that some students yell and curse at such kindhearted and hard-working professors. Some of these professors are doing so much behind the scenes to better the program for us and future students. Lady Dr. Brown is always available for students to reach out to with concerns as well. She is the sweetest and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Use your recourses. The new lab looks amazing. I wish I could've used it more than once, but at least new students get to use a better lab! Some things I did not like: we have to go pick up our diplomas, there is no graduation ceremony in the fall and summer semesters, and the clinical placement method is a nightmare. Additionally, the clinical courses should have more structure and consistency. The courses are defined by which instructor students receive, and it should not be that way. Some students can graduate having no clinical skills whatsoever, which is a scary thought. The admission process is also very unpredictable and needs improvement. Plenty of students fail out or fail classes, and there are other potential students who could have passed with flying colors if they were admitted.

I originally deleted my post because I felt it was "too harsh" but I'm back here now because I feel…read morethat people reallllly need to know about this school. The teachers for the most part are great- however, there are some that will not be fair and play favorites. Teachers bump students grades up BUT you if you're sitting at a 74.4. (passing is 75 or 74.5 depending on the teacher/syllabus) while I was a victim of the "74.4" category- I had fellow classmates getting added points from A's to B's or C's to B's. Now I understand mine would have been from "failing" to "passing" scenario....but, its the general principle. TREAT ALL STUDENTS EQUAL. I could name drop teachers but I do not want to do that. I have left the program and I'm so much happier! We need some more integrity and this school does not demonstrate that. Choose nursing schools wisely, you will have no life with an accelerated 15 month program.

From the beginning I should've known that the school is not a reputable school. They are worried about taking your money right away before giving you a curriculum or even a tour of the school. The classroom I was personally in fits 3 people and the equipment used to taught the course was all non functional. The first day was a mandatory CPR course (which i get why you need in the medical field) but all it was was showing us a video that asked us to follow the video with a dummy that we did not have. When Dr. Raymond came back in the room he taught the most basic cpr instructions on a a gross looking dummy for about 10 minutes. The classrooms were full of old unusable equipment and photos of students from the early 2000's. I learned everything straight from the book/the internet on my own. Dr. Raymond's lectures are about 10 minutes long (if you're lucky) where he says nonsensical things or reads straight from the book. I asked him questions countless times and was left more confused than before as it was like he didn't know what he was talking about. He accidentally left me a voicemail talking trash about his students with the other teacher(his wife) and how students all think they know everything. At the end of my course I took my test in person and in writing(not electronically) and did not hear back anything about my results. I finally called and was answered by a rude receptionist saying she was sure she sent me the link to my certificate. Dr. Raymond did not offer me job placement even though I made sure to ask when I signed up if that's something they did. His wife assured me that they did. Instead I got a call from him offering to pay me $9 an hour to teach his EKG course for 2 hours a day, 2 days a week. (So a whopping $36 a week to teach others things I barely learned on my own) TLDR: do not go here if you want a real education. If you want to pay to go sit in a gross outdated classroom, read straight from a book everyday, and listen to the Doctor take personal phone calls while sitting in class with you trying to read about what he's about to "lecture" you on then this is the place! Also beware and ask about ALL THE FEES. As the test is not included, nor is CPR.

Their teaching methods are engaging, clear, and tailored to support every type of learner--whether you learn best visually, hands-on, or through detailed explanations. One of the biggest strengths of this program is the access to premium nursing education resources, including both ATI Nursing Education and Evolve by Elsevier. These tools provide industry-leading NCLEX preparation, in-depth study materials, and realistic practice assessments that build strong clinical judgment. ATI offers adaptive learning systems and test-taking strategies, while Evolve delivers trusted nursing content, case studies, and interactive resources from Elsevier. Together, they ensure students are thoroughly prepared for coursework, clinicals, and the NCLEX. The school also provides a professional learning environment with modern classrooms and fully equipped simulation labs that give students valuable hands-on experience before transitioning into real clinical settings. If you're serious about becoming a nurse and want a program that combines quality instruction, proven resources, and strong support, Texas Health School is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to build a successful nursing career.

No one knew anything, ever, on the steps I had to take to get into the programs; and despite not knowing anything they felt they must inform me of errored information instead of helping me get into contact with someone that did know. If they even decided to answer the phone or emails that is. They are completely uninformative to people who do not know about the medical field. It took multiple emails and many phone calls to find out the steps I needed to take. You need to make sure to file for a background check with IdentiGo through the school. They must do it. Make sure they have sent your information and do not stop calling. And check with the TBON after that they got your correct information. I waited 3 hours on hold (1 hour separately) with TBON just to find out my information was entered wrongly by HCC. Create a Complio account; I was informed that I needed a code to access it only to be told the code is for the drug screening and not the account itself weeks later when I called (not the first or last call I would make that week) confused on why I have not received it. On complio there are certain files provided on how they want the information, so when you go to the doctor make sure the information needed is on there. Once you're in, you still face difficulties with professors, scheduling, and clinical sites. You may or may not get one, your site may be two hours away from your home, or your site may not want to teach you. There are many issues and far as I have seen, they've had these issues for a while and are not working on fixing any of the core problems.
