Service was astounding and food was astonishing. However, I feel easily pleased with food while abroad so I moreso would like to comment on the service and ambiance. Overall, great views, food, company, and ambiance!

After being tricked by tourist traps via TripAdvisor all over Rome, I'm glad we found this place! - Ambiance (Yay) was great, no tacky checkered table cloths and good amount of elbow room here - Service (€3 pp, eh) started off well when we arrived early but was VERy slow when more guests arrived - Parking @7 on Monday if you drive yourself is decent, street parking Food (YAY): - free bread (ok): haven't really had "good" bread in Italy besides pizza type dough tbh. I'm a fan of crusty Spanish bread, French croissants, etc but the bread here generally doesn't cut it - minestrone (€12, yay): lots of veggies like onions, tomatoes and potatoes, not super acidic - gnocchi (€14, yay): fresh and tangy but sweet tomatoes, perfectly cooked gnocchi - sea bass (€24, yay): basically steamed, cooked in water and served with a mostly tomato-based slightly thickened sauce - steak (€22, SO said yay): sans-fat, served with butter/roasted rosemary potatoes Dessert (NAY): - lemon dessert cake (€10 - meh): overly sweet filling and cake, but the cake was moist - mousse w/strawberries (€10 - BoOoo): wrongly tempted by the "made from our garden" strawberries, this was super super sweet and lost the "fresh" aspect TLDR: great views, would recommend for a romantic dinner - not the cheapest but quality ingredients and friendly overall. Save some € and pass on the desserts though.

Hidden Gem, Sea To Table - When you've grown tired of the posh over-the-top touristy Positano,…read moreafter a short 20 drive or a 5 minute water taxi will arrive in Praiano. A small fishing cove just south of Positano, nearly untouched by time. The absolute freshest seafood with a beautiful presentation. Most likely you'll be greeted and served by the owner, Salvatore who has lived in the house upstairs his whole life with his family since the 1930's. Serving traditional Italian seafood recipes from his grandmother who was a fisherman herself. Bar Mare Petit, also known by Donna Clelia feels like you're at a friend of the family house, with a amazing table on the beach! I was treated so kindly, got a tour of the back kitchen where he showed me the razor clams that were caught that day. After diner gave us shots of their house made Limoncello & Cremamelone (Amazing) & some of their amazing cake made only around Easter time. And living up to true Italian hospitality both bottles were left on our table for us to pour freely. As you might expect, we had a amazing time here! Make sure to take home a few bottles of his homemade lemoncello, I've sampled a lot & this is my favorite.

Sooo, we got into Naples on a Fri night without a reservation anywhere. Didn't want to travel, so…read morelooked for something close. This restaurant seemed promising. I tried calling, no answer, but since it was only 50m from the room, I walked in right at 7:30, and well, technically we didn't walk in, as the door is always locked, and we buzzed. I asked if there was an opening, and we were fortunate. From the first glimpse of the decor, to the way we were greeted and seated, it was apparent that this restaurant is not your typical "dinner place." Every dish so far has been an experience. Even the simplest of dishes, eggplant parmesian is transformed into about 9 layers of flavor. The scallops were a truly immaculate and pleasing presentation, which hid about 10 layers of flavor and texture. If you are in Naples, and looking for a "non-traditional" meal that will push your tastebuds to places they've probably never been, I highly recommend it here. We may come back later in our tip because the menu had such a variety of dishes, each sounding better than the next.

She clearly knows how this restaurant and chef work and commands your dining experience. I noticed the horn sculptures on the other tables and she brought one over to us even though we were at a tiny table lol. She was so thoughtful and thorough! She even gave us directions to catch a cab after dinner. Intimate ambience and classy but not taking itself too seriously. I was super pleasantly surprised by the octopus. I don't know how it was prepared - Victoria said to allow myself to be surprised, and I was! I can't really describe it but it was SCRUMPTIOUS. My brother tried it and loved it and he hates octopus lol. Everything on the menu was excellently prepared and farm-to-table fresh and mouthwatering. Any time I come to Naples, this is a must return to spot. This is a must go for you when you visit!!
