Our booking was also inclusive of breakfast and their breakfast spread was also good - eggs, crosissants, yoghurt, cereal and beverages. A major consideration though here would be the intent of your trip. Since we were primarily there to visit Jungfrau, staying in Adelbodeen added an hour to our commute one way everytime we wanted to go to Interlarken. It felt unnecessary to drive this extra distance when you have good options in Interlarken, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Especially if you are going to take the Swiss travel pass, you might want to factor in distance to the train station. We opted for this option because we had a car and this was very well priced compared to any other options in Interlaken. This is not a con of the hotel. Our stay was comfortable and I would recommend this place.

Even after standing trying to get the button to light up for the elevator to come, it never worked! This isn't supposed to be difficult for God's sake. I told the staff. They blew it off as if I needed to "learn" how to do it. What bull you know what. The room, oh my god! For one, there is a door stopper which is ALWAYS in the way of you walking. It's big and is impossible NOT to hit it with your foot, which I inevitably did. Not fun! The bathroom - the handle literally came off!!! I'm serious! You could NOT close the bathroom door! Just stay away from this dump, it's garbage from entrance to exit!

( there was a little construction in the front of the hotel., however, they are very mindful about starting after 8:30 in the morning and ending very early and not working on the weekend) The rooms are very spacious. They do provide a fan, which we were very grateful for. The breakfast was included in our stay and we really enjoyed the selection and the fresh local honeys and of course my favorite muesli. It's a bit of an old fashion hotel . Very historically pleasing. A bit like a southern plantation. they give you your key on a small brass door knob ( very, very heavy, so when you leave the property, you give them your key and they will give it to you when you return) Old school charm... The property shuttle van will pick you up from the train station 800 yards away and drop you off ... they have a very nice Spa, a small pool and a small gym... I really loved the fresh rose in our room . It's within walking distance to the river ...

Our room wasn't ready at 11 am (check-in is at 3 pm), but they held our luggage for us while we looked around.

Great little hotel…read more Stayed here a couple of days. Had a great time. The owner Christine is friendly and very helpful. Take her advice! She knows what's she is talking about. The rooms are nice and clean. The morning breakfast is really great. The jams are homemade by her mother. You must try them all. The place is a quick walk to the train station and near many restaurants and shops.

I feel like I am at home. I mean the feeling of warm that was touching my heart when I was there. And I wish one day I could own a special accommodation like this or at least come back here again. To day, it is 14 June 1018. I have a plan to travel to Switzerland again. Of course I need to book this place. Unfortunately, it's been closed forever. I don't know the reason. I wish Lily and her family is on their greater way.

I picked it based on location...we were spending a few days hiking in the swiss alps...and based on reviews. After we checked in, I was very confused...how on earth could this place have such awesome reviews...then I realized they were all written by foreigners. For starters its kinda off the beaten path in Interlaken, you can walk to the main area, but it's not a very nice walk, I'm glad we had a car. Then there were the rooms...oooooh man were they in MUCH needed renovation, and we paid extra for the private bathroom, yeah it was a make shift bathroom in the middle of the room and it didn't smell right. It was incredibly loud at night as the walls are paper thin. The breakfast was ok, your typical European spread, nothing spectacular. If we return to the area I will definitely look for a place in the alps such as Gimmelwald and stay far away from the B&B's in Interlaken. The only reason I have it 2 stars is again for the incredibly nice owners who were super informative and helpful, if it wasn't for them we would have checked out right away.

The staff were about as warm and comforting as a splinter under a toenail. Every interaction felt like we were inconveniencing them simply by being guests. Hospitality should make you feel welcome; here, it felt like they couldn't wait for us to leave. As for Wengen itself, it's undeniably beautiful. The mountain scenery is spectacular. But beneath the postcard views is an overcrowded, overpriced destination packed with tourists. After experiencing it firsthand, I don't understand the hype. Between the inflated prices and the lackluster service, it's simply not a place I'd spend my money on again. The scenery earns five stars. The overall experience does not. I won't be returning.
