This is two reviews, really - of the bambach chair, and of the business I bought it from. Long story short, happy with both.
I'm the experienced side of fifty, and after long stints in the (normal) home office chair, my back hurt and my legs were stiff. The bambach saddle-seat chair, no more sore back, more limber generally. The normal chair is more comfortable minute-by-minute, but more painful hour-by-hour.
A friend's physio doesn't like them - says she sees hip problems from the posture. I guess anything for a long time is a bad idea. And I think you're meant to sit "more actively" in them, not just plonk yourself down.
Anyway, I alternate between the two chairs as I feel like it. It was expensive, and I don't regret it one bit.
The business seems to have the best of small businesses. More or less a one man show, I think. The guy seems enthusiastic about good furniture, seems to know his stuff, happy to talk, no pressure. The stuffs a bit pricey, but he's not selling discount-store kind of product. read more
