We came here last Thursday night for their open-mic night to support a friend's band. I was totally surprised at what a great place this is. The venue only holds a few hundred people (I'm guessing). The stage is pretty small, but the feel of it is like an old high school auditorium. I don't know much about the history of the place, but I get a good vibe. Its a good place to see bands play, because its small, you can get up-close and personal with the band, but still have the acoustics of a big venue. This is the spot to support. Prices are $3 suggested donation to support a new art center and art education. This coffee station is in an old gas station. The fake gas pumps are a nice touch. Parking is unique and is along the middle of the street as well as the sidewalks. It's great to come here every few times a year and see new and fresh exhibits. We always come back because of that! I stopped in at the Randsburg Photo Studio which used to be a bank in 1895, I was greeted by Tom his friend Hoot and their dog Katie. All three showed me around the studio and Tom gave me a lot of info about Randsburg and the studio. Tom is a photographer and Hoot is a painter, their works are incredible You owe it to yourself to visit the studio. I will be going back.
