Such a beautiful restaurant with crazy great food.

Terrific food. It was fabulous. Everything we had was delicious. The menu changes to reflect and serve fresh local ingredients. The building is beautiful and historic. The service is exciting. Loved it.

Food is pretty good but service a bit slow. We tried the raw oysters and they were fresh tasting. The foie gras was good but nothing stood out. The one dish that stood out was the mushrooms fried in duck fat. That was so good, so could have ordered 3 of them and just ate that. I don't recall the dessert we ordered but it was good. I don't think you will be disappointed if you ate here. Just make sure you are not on a tight timeline.

Excellent place to eat! Food was gourmet style and everything we had was delicious. We used Yelp and as always, it didn't let us down. To start we had the Squid with Shitake and Chorizo. Then had the fish of the day, Filet de Merlu, and was cooked to perfection, along with the risotto. My two girlfriends had the Croquette Monsieur and the Duck Parmentier , that were super tasty. Everything paired excellent with a nice glass of red wine. If you're a foodie, this is the place!

My hotel concierge recommended this place and said it was sort of like a wine bar but it was a fabulous little place. My server was friendly attentive and even suggested wines to try with my courses. I got 6 oysters which were soooooo good. Ice cold and naturally salty. Wow! Then I ordered the fish of the day which was salmon and a small salad. They brought both out at the same time which was fine with me. The salmon was perfectly cooked medium-rare and was piping hot. The root vegetables and flavor in the sauce was out of this world! The side salad was a big bowl of fresh greens and some dressing. Very fresh and tasted delicious. I asked for bread and butter and it was so good I ate 3 pieces and skipped dessert. Great prices for the food and for the wine. So glad I went

This place was recommended to us by a local tour guide (who was fantastic) and we didn't know what to order so we got the plat du jour, which I believe translates to plate of the day. I didn't know exactly what was in it, but I think it was chicken parts with gravy mushrooms and rice. It was awesome!! I'd highly recommend this place as the service was attentive and the food was very good.

Let me start by saying I never write reviews...but this place deserved it. I've been in France two weeks and this was by far the best meal I've had all over the country. So nice and surprising considering that there are many tourist trap restaurants around downtown. The host was very welcoming, had a great sense of humor, and helpful. He recommended a great wine from his family's chateau which we really enjoyed. He was patient as my boyfriend is french and I don't speak much french. Very willing to speak English to all the English speaking patrons. We both got the plat de jour. Everything was delicious from the terrine and oysters to the steak with blue cheese and strawberry tiramisu and chocolate mousse. Very authentic Southwest french food. Would 100% recommend!

We had a wonderful meal here. Great environment, great food, and good atmosphere. We almost did not go in because it was a little of the beaten path, and seemed like a bar at first glance, but it was actually a nice and trendy restaurant. We will go back again. See my photos

Both the girlfriend and myself had the plat de jour, which was duck, a salad and potato au gratin and it was delicious.

This place was no different. Small restaurant in the the small village of Saint Emilion outside of Bordeaux. Adorable. Great view. Delicious cheese Delicious wine. Friendly service even though we asked for something they don't serve during lunch. So why remove a star this time. I have to differentiate these wonderful places and my only complaint is you have a menu on the street but aren't serving everything on the menu at that time. It's odd. The menu on the street advertised a plate of farmed cheese but that was only a dinner option and we were there during lunch. Why advertise it then? Anyway, be forewarned and remember the current "carte" is what they give you at the table-not what they advertise at the street. Nevertheless, they did have a charcuterie board and they gave it to us with only cheese, and they offered it-we didn't even ask. You know what? 5 stars. I changed it before posting. I don't care if the rest of my review no longer makes sense. There's no reason to take a star away. Great cheese, great wine, great views, friendly service that went out of their way to accommodate Americans who wanted something not on the menu. 5 stars it is.

I got the escargots to start and they were perfection. it was fun to take them out of the shells myself - it felt like a true French experience! they were perfectly buttery & garlicky without being heavy. the lamb was absolutely incredible too - my mom and I both got it and didn't regret doing a double order once we saw how amazing it was. while it was a bit pricey, it was worth it for the quality & quantity - we were sadly too full for dessert!

It's a cool restaurant with nice decor, but there were a lot of tourists (including us). I think that maybe only 1-2 tables were speaking French. We ordered: -escargot appetizer: 12 snails for about 24 euros. These were definitely very tasty, and one of the better snails that I've had. Came with a pesto-ey sauce. Snails were juicy -duck breast main with fois grois. The duck breast was delicious, but was very rare (the meat was red). I did confirm with the waiter that it was meant to be served this way. He said that it was, but I would've liked it cooked a bit more (and I'm a person who usually orders steak on the rare side). The fois grois was only okay... didn't taste as nice as the times that I've had it in Paris or even in the US. -"grande cafe" dessert, which was essentially coffee with a bunch of pastries including creme brulee. First of all, I think that this is the best value as it cost the same price as the creme brulee option, but came with a creme brulee which was almost as big, plus a bunch more things. So I would recommend this. -wine was okay. I did expect a bit better though for 14 euros a glass So in summary, the food was delicious, but I think it was a tad overpriced (probably because it is catered for tourists)
