The building itself is stunning, with great architecture and tons of natural light that makes walking through the galleries feel really open and peaceful. They have works from Monet and other well known artists, which was really exciting to see in person. There's a lot to explore, so I'd recommend setting aside a few hours to really take it all in. Just make sure to plan your timing because they close at 5 PM. The staff throughout the museum were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. There's also a large gift shop with lots of unique items and a cafe inside the museum, which is nice if you want to take a break during your visit.

At these events food alcohol nonalcoholic beverages are served. I say this because most responsible people call Ubers/Rides to pick them up safely, well when the event was over at 10 people picked up there things at coat check and proceeded to the vestibule to wait on their rides and Ubers. This was around 10-10:30 pm and the police that were hired at event forced everyone to stand outside. Keep in mind it was about 6 degrees in Cleveland. I understand the event was over and they had to close but grace should've been given considering the weather. Although the event was nice maybe you shouldn't attend in the winter because they'll put you out.

Back off the road is a wonderfully well kept 1800s village full of love and character. We attended the annual Memorial weekend Civil War reenactment. Had a good time. The soldiers tents were staked. Full uniformed soldiers walked the streets. Then the two sides gathered into their regiments and the shooting began. We forget how this conflict was fought with small groups of men, many farmers and young boys in scant uniforms, tho nearly 300 men and women reenacted. The conflict lasted a good hour. Was very well planned out. The village's 20 buildings were staffed by volunteers. Some food was available for purchase. This is also the site for Burton's summer Chautauqua series--free!

They even have a wooden church in great shape that you can walk into that was actually used in the 1800s which was relocated here for preservation. There is an admission fee that goes directly to their non-profit cause. Their "gift shop" is the town's general store in which you'll find period-proper snacks and trinkets. Century Village has lots of events throughout the year. One of our favorites is the popular pancake breakfast in maple syrup season (around March each year) - one of their fundraisers. Another is their civil war era reenactment which includes soldier and civilian encampments. It's not all about the soldiers - who put on a series of excellent displays and battles - but other living historians who show you what it was like to live in pre-20th century America (weaving, washing laundry, cooking, etc.). Other events include historical machinery which features some of the first tractors and farm equipment used long ago. The site is located in the heart of Burton Township in Geauga County, on the southeast corner of the town square. This is where 87, 168, and 700 meet. Again, a gem in such a small township, Century Village is tops!

I've been to my fair share of natural history museums, and while this one is compact, it is very modern and packs a punch! When you enter, you're immediately greeted by a giant dinosaur and that set the tone for the whole visit, I felt like I kept seeing dinosaur bones everywhere! It took me a moment to orient myself to the museum layout, but looking back it's pretty compact and I could've easily wandered and enjoyed most of the museum in a couple hours. I especially enjoyed how interactive the earth section was, and this is silly but sit on those rock-looking cushions - they are SO comfortable! The little planetarium area was also very cool, and I would consider seeing a show in there next time! The dioramas are by far the most beautiful/engaging I've seen, and with between the fish video cave and the outdoor animal area, I felt like I also got a mini trip to the aquarium and the zoo. Overall I had an amazing time and this spot is super baby/toddler friendly! Note: If you have ASTC membership, admission is included! As a non museum member, I'd recommend street parking. It's much cheaper than the flat rate garage fare.

There are SO MANY rooms and interactive things to do & keep busy! Ohio animals/bugs, planets, body system, fish, birds, coyotes, otters, etc!!!!! They have a movie theater that shows different short movies (~ 30-45 mins) & a planetarium - sadly we missed the shows for the planetarium... BUT we will be back!! We watched a T-Rex film that I will say, I thought was going to be dumb.... But again was actually so cool! Do not underestimate this museum! Plus Cuyahoga county residents get in for free on the weekends & according to their events page.. they hold SO many fun activities for kids and adults - like yoga! I cannot wait to come back & explore this place again (especially the planetarium) & participate in some of there events! Thank you for the sweetest staff & a great day!

From blues to jazz, to gospel to rock and roll, from pop to rap, and even some electronic music, its all there. The workers seemed nice. They were not intrusive at all. The main walk through is downstairs, and you have to take the escalator or the elevator. There was interactive booth on the 2nd floor to play instruments and a beat making area on the top floor. There was a gift store at the entrance/exit with records, albums, and memorabilia. I saw a theatre upstairs as well but I did not go into it, but it seemed to be some kinds of showing and had repeating showtimes with wait times. The classic icons over the last 100 years and the tunes that came along with them was a blast of nastalgia! With a smile, I was reminded of phases of own life I had gone through, the state of the world and auras of the past, and reminded just how different things were....In a way it felt like I was reliving the history of America since there doesnt seem to be much genuinity these days in pop-culture.
