Expectations are too high. Too much homework. Many students feel as if they are failing if they get a B-. Extremely left-wing, there is room for a lgbt exploration club (whatever that means) but it takes four months to get the assistant principal to even consider a Moc Trial team? I used to always think of Chagrin Falls as one of the better Public schools systems on the east side but sadly this is not the case anymore. My daughter went there for a brief time before we moved her to a better school. Where do I begin first off the assistant principal is EXTREMELY unprofessional and just in general not a nice person and too over whelmed and immature to be in that position. Lord knows what the actual principal does as she is behind the scenes. The assistant principal doesn't believe in discipline when it comes to the athletes And they get away with just about anything. For example they were making fun of a colored student and my daughter witnessed it and the student complained to the principal and nothing was done about it. Finally there are aides and they stand around all day and chat and don't actually do their jobs. Overall I do think this school has gone down hill and recommended they hire better administrators starting w the assistant principal. I have also heard talk in my community about some anti semitism brewing in addition to the racism that is already out in the open and not handled. The school in general seems quite right wing and intolerant of other races and religions. read more

I am a student at chagrin falls. When I was younger I moved around a lot and have been to 10 different schools. In my opinion chagrin has been the best so far. I have ex led so much with the support of my teachers and peers. The students at this school are so nice but of course there will always be people who knock you down there will always be people who bring you up. I have experienced many of these people here. The chagrin schools are in the top ten in there STEM programs and are in the top five in there theater program. They also have stellar sports teams. For all these reasons I think chagrin is amazing. read more

Yep, this system of having it 5 star is entirely what the previous reviewer said. The administration particularly principal, etc. IS NUTS!!!! Terrible way to communicate with parents. No body cares!!!! There is a huge disconnect if you are a NEW student. They think having a ra ra meeting and letting you meet the principal is what you need. Heck no. How do you view homework assignments, communicate with teachers, log on to google. IT IS THE MOST UNWELCOMING school ever. Do NOT move here for the schools. Keep your kids in private!
