We interviewed A LOT of in-home daycares and i was left with an uneasy feeling. BJD provides a variety of healthy foods and actually cares about my guy. Although I would spend a fortune to know my child is safe, Barbie doesn't do this to put families in a financial burden! its so hard to have working parents and still try to find safe, educational and loving childcare. Planet earth preschool has been charging me $126 a week for my son that is only there for 3 hours a…read moreWEEK for pick up and drop off for the buss I thought that was crazy so I called jobs and family services and that's when I learned they are NOT to ask for a CO PAY and by them entering into a Publicly Funded Child Care payment agreement their center agrees to accept the amount paid by the agency for attendance. They CANNOT charge caretakers for hours children are not in care or the difference between the payment amount and there private pay amount.. therefore they have been violating the contract and charging parents when they were not allowed to do so. When I brought this to their attention and also jobs and family services did.. They then told me that if I can't pay the full amount weekly my child cannot remain in their care even though I am full-time with JFS so bc they couldn't get their little money that they've been taking from everybody that they we're not allowed to do ..they pretty much kicked my daughter out because I brought to their attention and also JFS did too.. very sad bc my daughter loves her teacher EMILY & also the toddlers that attend with her . The owner MANDI has an attitude problem and also ALISHA has an attitude problem every time you message them with questions.. Also when I went to go pick up my daughter because all of this went down and they told me I had an hour to go and get her when I got there they locked me out while my daughter was also in the building!!! I DO NOT recommend unless you want to get charged a crazy amount even if your child is not tending that day or even just 3 hours a week lmfao and also because they are NOT fallowing the rules at all!! And if you don't care to always getting text messages while you're at work complaining about stupid little stuff. (like if you don't cut your daughter's blueberries a certain way) place is a JOKE !

Just a little over two months ago my son started at Once Upon a Daycare (right behind Jersey's) in green and I cannot tell you the night and day difference I have seen with him. While atkas is only 2, he has shown many milestone delays, especially with speech, as well as showing several austisic traits. With all of that said-- Miss Rosie has such incredible knowledge with the extra help that he has needed and I have found myself able to breathe a little bit again. I cannot say great enough things about finding this place and Miss Rosie-- but if you're looking for an affordable, helpful, fun place for your kid to go I highly recommend Once Upon a Daycare!
