It was so overgrown that I couldn't see the boardwalk immediately ahead. Worse, my husband fell when a board broke downwards when he stepped on it. I don't know how he wasn't injured or at least, didn't fall into the water. Fortunately fell, sitting on the remaining boards. I tried to reach someone at the Guilford Land Trust today to warn hikers to avoid that trail but no one answered the phone. The voicemail was full. I sent an email.
