Andrew came up with and executed ideas that make our home so much more functional for our family and modern day living. Andrew is a good listener, thoughtful, intelligent, concise, organized, creative, straightforward, and honest. He recommended a quality contractor who we had an excellent experience with; I do not know many people who feel that way about their contractors post-construction! In addition, Andrew managed our project from start to post-completion, which is key for two busy, full-time working parents. We are thrilled with the new functionality of our living spaces and would not hesitate to recommend Andrew and his team. In fact, as a real estate attorney, I have the ability to refer Andrew to clients (and friends), and do so on a regular basis. Everyone I know that has used Andrew's services sing his praises.

I initially had reservations about using a designer in general because I wasn't sure how everything would look and I wanted my house to be mine after everything was said and done. Allen was very receptive to my concerns and helped both me and my fiance understand the remodeling process and helped to keep in in control of the process. His suggestions ended up being exactly what I was looking for and then some! He was even able to help me work around the restrictions of my condo association which was amazing! Highly recommended I can't say it enough.

Allen and his team at Sovereign Design Associates are simply fantastic. We entered into a full home…read moreremodel and huge addition with a lot of trepidation. Essentially, most of our house was demo'd for this major project. We were nervous about everything, cost, design, etc and Allen walked us through each step, making us extremely confident about the project. He is very thoughtful and experienced when it comes to both function and thinking long term to resale value. Allen made many suggestions that we did not know were even possible to increase the functionality of our (new) home. We are now in the midst of the renovation/addition and he is still involved in the process to make sure we are happy with the design. I really cannot say enough about him as well as the contractor that he referred us to. We would highly recommend Allen and SDA (so much so that 2 of our neighbors are planning to work with him in the near future)!

That was certainly not an easy job, because my condo is located in Beacon Hill and the inspector requests were very specific. He his extremely reliable and easy to communicate. Just go ahead and give him a call you will not be disappointed.

We used Kevin's design for a new build in Concord and love out home!…read more Kevin worked closely with us to get a sense of our style of living (many outdoor activities with kids) and designed an amazing home for us that fits our needs and design preferences. This was our first build and we found it very helpful that Kevin was accessible (email, text, phone) and came to weekly on-site meetings with us and the builder. He did a great job translating some of the technical speak from the builder and even playing mediator between my wife and I on a couple minor items. (I still don't think you can spend too much on a "man cave") :) We've had a few requests for our architect's name and I never hesitate to recommend him. We'd certainly use him again.

The new open space is just a joy to be in, even when we're not cooking, but even more so when we are. We are grateful for Schneidee's guidance through the design phase, recommending so much we would never have thought of ourselves, and generally being sure the new space would work for us. And it was tremendously comforting to have someone of John's expertise and resourcefulness guiding us through construction. Both Schneidee and John were a real pleasure to work with. I must admit, I thought "lifting spirits with spaces" was just a nice slogan, but it is indeed a real experience we have everyday. Super happy and super grateful!

We read about Arcbazar.com and decided to try them. We submitted drawings of the space with measurements, described the project and what we would like to see and accomplish, photos of the space. We bid a low $600 for the project and submitted asking for completion in 2 weeks. Within a few days we had 10 people from around the world interested in our project. During the process we received requests for clarification or more information. At the end of the process we had 7 submissions most including elevations, renderings, materials lists and sources. All of these submissions met our basic criteria. All were impressive and beat the $150/hr guy in presentation, value and execution. You can send the designs to friends and family to help you rank the designs. We all agreed on our top 1, 2 and 3 designs. I requested and was given the contact information for our top ranked designer. We have contacted that person to modify the initial design. That is outside of Arcbazar but have to say this part of the process is also going splendidly at a reasonable price. We are thrilled with this process and will never go back. Hints: ~ You might want to allow more time for your project ~ Offer a little more money. The top guy only gets a portion of the pie. ~ Ana, in the office, is also accessible by phone for questions. Just have to work in their time zone. ~ The more specific you are the better results. ~ Our bids came from Armenia, Belaruse, Italy, France, Romania, etc So you get an international flare.

It was remarkable how easy, efficient, and non-time consuming it was obtaining these designs; no taking off work to let them in the house etc. The follow-up from Arcbazar was top-notched. Our first choice ended up being the design submitted from France! We love it! It has a bit of a European feel to it; beautiful, welcoming, cozy, and very functional. After the kitchen is completed, we plan to use Arcbazar again for a basement remodeling project.
