He is the definition of a slumlord, has threaten to kick me out multiple times without warning due to no fault of my own, only to change his mind at the last second. (Continuous emotional distress) During my time there he was the least accommodating slumlord I've ever witnessed, never followed up on repairs, when construction was being done he wouldn't provide you warning when people would be entering and even when they did show up they never did what I had requested. Ex, fix the heat during the winter or loud construction during working hours. He even raised rent on me for no reason while I was renting from him while I always paid on time and never missed a month. After the 3rd time he threatened to kick me out-he asked if I would like to stay and continue to rent of which I refused and left. After finally feeling relieved and free from his abusive grasp, tax time came around. I asked for copies of my CRP (certificate of rent paid) of which he requested $25 per copy, of which is highly illegal and I had to address my lawyer of which they confirmed what he is doing is highly illegal! I think it'd be understandable for anyone to lose patience with someone who couldn't make up her mind about what she wanted in a home or what she could afford. Scott never made me feel like a burden or like I was uneducated about the housing market. Because he knew that I was a first-time home buyer, he took extra time during our showings to point out important things to take note of that I may not have otherwise paid attention to.
