Literally the worst experience I've ever had at a smoke shop and I've been going to smoke shops across the country for over 10 years. A young woman helped me out yesterday and I made a purchase of about $180. The vape I bought was broken, completely defective and it's the first time I've ever had an issue with that product. I took it back today and showed a different girl who was working this time and she was so freaking rude!! She says her name is GABBY but who knows if she's being truthful. Not helpful, not sympathetic basically just saying too bad so sad. I asked if she knew how I could fix the vape or if anyone's had this issue. She said no never seen it nothing I can do. I asked to speak to a manager she wouldn't let me do that. I asked if I could get a credit or discount or cheaper vape and she said nope not their problem basically. She said if she was the one who had helped me she could do something. So I said can I come back when the girl who helped me is here so she can help me? She said no there's nothing she can do you should've came back in yesterday. I DONT HAVE A CAR. I am busy and dealing with a million other stressors but I came back as soon as I could (next freaking day). I asked the name of the woman who helped me the previous day so I could come back and ask her help. She said sorry can't give you that info. Im normally very tolerant as I've worked in customer service my whole life. I am the last person who would judge or fight or make a bad review or stand up for myself. But I feel like this is totally unfair and her attitude on top of it made me feel so disrespected after I've spent so much money there (I spent another $100 today). And before going in, I honestly felt like maybe they wouldn't be able to do anything but the freaking rudeness was so unnecessary and blew my mind. The prices are decent and I wanted to make this my home vape store but I will not give my money again to people who are disrespectful and have no care about their customers as human beings. It's a horrible business model and a horrible way to be a human to cheat people who spend a lot of money by selling defective products (FLAVORED NICOTINE VAPES) and giving attitude and no sympathy when they call it out. If they're going to be that way they should at least say to test the product out before we leave but I doubt they would even allow that. For them this is just free money. And I understand doing your job, there's been plenty of times there was nothing I could do for someone. But I would escalate it up! Or make the customer feel heard. At least try to be kind and empathetic. Gabby (if that's ur real name) u suck! The $20 the vape costed is literally not what matters. And the fact the business is unwilling to give it up or do anything to make it right in order to preserve a customer relationship when THEY are at fault gives broke business vibes. If you care more about the principle of being treated with basic respect as a customer don't be fooled by the decent prices here. Been going there for over 12 years and spent thousands and thousands of dollars. I bought something two weeks ago for 4 dollars. It was a piece of glass pipe bowl replacement. I never used it.. It still had the price sticker on it. It certainly did not work on my pipe I brought it back to ask for an exchange Refund, etc. or a credit. Straight up said nope sorry thank you have a nice day like I didn't fucking exist or given any business over the last 12 years. I don't really understand the hate for this place but as a cigar smoker this place is TOP Tier. I can't speak for the rest of the store but the cigar room is walk in and has a huge selection. They keep it restocked and the dehumidifier works well. Down in the south part of town I haven't found a better place. So, if I'm in this area and low on sticks this is the only place I go to. My boyfriend went in with his ID after being told he needed to bring it, and the woman behind the counter REFUSED to serve him, claiming I had to come back with him. After a terrible in-person experience where my boyfriend was refused service (even with proper ID) and insulted by being called "childish," I decided to call and inform the manager. Instead of a sincere apology, the manager made the situation even worse by making random, baseless assumptions about me and my boyfriend. How is this acceptable? Not only does this shop lack professionalism, but it seems like their staff, including management, are more interested in judging and insulting their customers than actually doing their job. I just want to mention that I just went into the store and I did give it the benefit of the doubt being that all the reviews are so poor against them. I did purchase an item 6 days ago. I go in there today and the lady that claims to be a manager. Jen is completely about making a dollar and instead of creating great customer service to have a customer come back advice, manager practice needed obviously not only did they lose a customer they lost a loyal customer and a great one. Been here a couple of times with my husband. He likes the convenience of the location, right on Telegraph. It's located in a shopping center where many other restaurants or small shops are. Lots of parking and the hours are good. The staff is always nice especially when I come there clueless of what I'm looking for. They have many other things besides cigars, but I'm unsure. I went in last night, purchased for over 50$ a water pipe. It was nicely wrapped for me. The girl working at night, awesome and very nice, the one star is for her. (new girl I guess). When I went to use the newly purchased water pipe for the first time, all seemed well for the first 5 minutes, then when I picked it up for a refill. What the bottom just came off. This is not a broken water pipe. It is defective. Review motivation -- I went in today to have them review my purchase. The girl working, was absolutely rude, disrespectful she was acting like I was there to steal. I was super polite and courteous trying to explain I had just purchased this defective device from their store. She said I would need to speak to the owner, but that the owner would not care and never refund me no matter what. I asked for the owners name, and was told "it's boss". very upset from just coming out of CH cigars I'm not dressed to the nines or anything. I look like I might not have a whole bunch of money. I'm driving a beat up car. I was very interested in two different lighters the gentleman that was supposed to help me kept telling me he wasn't allowed to open up the case unless I was ready to buy something, he had been given supposedly strict orders to not open the case unless I promise to buy something I wanted to hold the lighters to see the mirror weight of them. He told me they weren't battery operated for the spark lighters, which I know they were. I've owned one or two before in my I'm 60 years old the kid that was supposed to help me must've been in his late 20s full beard brown hair very bland personality repeatedly told me that he was given specific orders. I told him do you need to see my money or something to know that I'm serious. I want to hold it to see the weight of it if I enjoy the way it feels in my hand. He told me he was not allowed to so if the owner is reading this right now I suggest if you don't want to lose more business to people that do have the money for nice things that you get rid of him or teach him how to act he kept looking down at me like I was gonna steal something shame on him. I'm 60 years old. I've been through a lot in my life time the one thing that you don't do is not smile at customers and look down at them like they are trash. My husband and I have been coming here for a while and we have always had a great experience. But today 12/26/2023 around 2:30-3pm the manager claiming to be the manager who I called later in the evening around 7ish told my husband who was in the smoke shop, after the purchase told the "manager" that the item did not work, this is also after him leaving and trying it and she never give him the receipt. Which I get we should always ask for one. Thats when she told him to charge it and it will work for the most part. Do keep and mind her attitude was horrible throughout all this. So my husband came home charged it for a few hours and still was not working. That's when I called the shop asking if the manager was going to be in tomorrow because I assumed that the manager was gone for today. She told me she's not sure if the manager was coming in or not even saying I am the manager how can I help you? She wanted to hear what I had to say then she wanted to announce that she was the manager. Asked her this whole time you're the manager? She continued to let me know phrasing my question telling me that I was asking if the manager was going to be in tomorrow? Not if the manager was in now. So that's why she didn't say she was the manager after everything. Regardless take initiative for the mistakes. That was unprofessional of her. She kept telling me that she told my husband to charge and it will work. Basically telling us what we were doing wrong. No apology but she did offer for us to bring it back so she can give us a new one. But at that point there's no reason to. After saying all that she still had an attitude.
