I want to give a shout out to the management of this facility because had they not displayed callous indifference after I sustained serious injuries due to black ice in the parking lot, I would not have realized what a mediocre place it is. Yes, I knew that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired and that often equipment was broken, malfunctioning, or missing (since it appears sometimes people steal things). I will never forget the day those of us lucky enough to be there that day, found a used condom on the floor in the workout area. I knew that it was often crowded (the free weight area is small), but I also realized that you get what you pay for. After the horrible incident 3 months ago, I had had enough, and found another place, a terrific, gleaming clean 15,000 square foot facility with new, well-maintained equipment, and everything you need for every type of workout: resistance training, cardio, and functional strength. For example, at CFX, they keep things like resistance bands and their ONE yoga stick behind the front desk, which is not always staffed, so if you need it and no one is there, you are out of luck. My new gym had a whole area dedicated to functional strength with dozens of those yoga sticks, yoga blocks, resistance balls, bands--you name it. So for about $10 more a month, I don't have to bring equipment with me. Huge upgrade. So thanks, CFX management. I am used to a lack of professionalism from gym employees, but when I got seriously hurt, and they not only didn't care but created a false narrative about what happened without even talking to me, that was a bridge too far. If you need a low-budget place, perhaps it can work for you. Just don't expect much, and you won't be disappointed. Suggestion: shop around before you commit. You'll be glad that you did. read more
