Kurtis and his crew came out today to replace a portion of our dewatering system. We've had water…read moreissues in the area of the new section we had installed in 2019, two years after the original detwatering in our laundry area. After heavy rains we'd get water, we had technicians come out and they would recommend building up the foundation to draw water away from, we got new gutters, all the while while losing hundreds of dollars of flooring and furnishing. We sent pictures each time, and nothing seemed to work. Though during it all, no one thought to check the system itself, that is until Dave arrived in July. He actually put a hose to run water directly into the system and discovered that the water wasn't draining into our sump pump. Kurtis and crew were extremely polite and listened as my wife explained the problem. He had barely broken into the section of the concrete revealing an area where the new system wasn't even connected to the old. And he showed by my that no weep holes were drilled. He decided he was going to replace that entire section as he didn't trust the rest of the work. All these years, that water just dumped into the ground. His crew spent 5 hours replacing then entire new system and showed my wife what they did and why before concreting over. Kurtis has restored our trust in Helitech and NOW when it rains heavy we won't be anxious about water in the basement. He said if we get water, he'll come back out to check the system though believed he resolved the problem. No one else is coming to check our system from here on out except Kurtis or Dave!! Thank you!!

Bix was very quick and accommodating in visiting my home to provide me a quote. Their office staff…read morewas friendly, helpful, and patient in scheduling the initial visit. After signing the proposal and approving the work things unfortunately took a turn for the worst. Scheduling became a chore as it took weeks to get the work scheduled, and later Bix mixed up the date, and without notification to me added a day to the work (said it was going to be a 1 day job, then suddenly it was 2). My questions to the manager went unanswered. Emails, phone calls, messages, all went unanswered. When Bix performed work on my neighbor's residence they drove their heavy equipment over my lawn after it had just rained heavily and caused damage to the lawn. I experienced a complete lack of communication and follow through with them in my attempts to get my lawn repaired. They ended up bringing dirt with them when arriving to complete my house work, however as over a month had passed grass had grown over the damaged areas obscuring them from view so the dirt was left (neatly) next to my house for me to fix as I could not point out the spots from memory to their crew onsite. The day of my appointment Bix did not stick to the scheduled time. I received a late evening phone call from the foreman the night before letting me know they would be there at 12 noon (9AM was the scheduled time) as they were tied up at the previous job's location, they didn't end up showing up until almost 2. I cannot say enough good things about the crew. They were professional, extremely hard working, and polite. While being sensitive to my family's needs they worked late into the evenings to get the job done after 2 days of work. Their products appear to be solid and well installed. After refusing to sign the loan documents initially for their payment I was able to receive a call back finally from the manager who essentially blamed me, argued with me, and berated me for my opinions about their customer service and business practices. I heard a lot of excuses, but never so much as an apathetic apology. The experience could have been exponentially better had the customer service been on par.

The guy opened a closed-off area that no one has been in since that bathroom was built. It would have been nice had he covered that opening back up but he didn't and now a feral camp of cats have crawled in.

This is by far one of the worst contractors I've ever worked with. They were hired to waterproof…read moreour garage that's attached to our basement. We had used them previously for our finished side of our basement and had no problems. The big difference is that they changed owners and with that work ethic and integrity were clearly no longer a priority. We paid $8,000 and our garage wasn't dry for even one day! We made numerous attempts to contact them, 2x they told us someone would be out to look at it (never once showed) , and then they stopped answering our calls completely. They basically took our money and ran. I would not recommend this business or any that John Greenwood owns to anyone!!

The crew did a good job resurfacing but they did not have enough experience and knowledge to know the concrete slab would move in the winter and crack the patch and new surface. There is a deep crack down the middle of the new surface of the patio from top to bottom. They looked at it and knew what caused it and said it's not their fault and they departed. I trusted in their experience and knowledge and they didn't have it. These guys aren't pros. Pros know their business. Why would they let me spend all that money when in a few months it would be ruined? Now in the last year a new crack has developed on the other side of the patio next to the house. So 2 cracks in the new surface so far and probably more to come. That's a lot of money for a crappy looking back patio with cracks. I would rather not have spent the money. For the same money I could have built a wood deck on top of the concrete and it would look good.
