He was also flexible in additional requests we had along the way (like asking for a final glossy coat to finish the wood floors). I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. From a neighbor reference, I had Lewis Flooring install hardwood flooring in our bedroom. When…read morepreparing the estimate, I stated that I wanted the floors paste waxed, not polyurethane. They stated that was not their norm, but would'nt be a problem. Their subcontracted installers did a great job on the floor installation and stain. Lewis Flooring came out to wax and buff the floors. They arrived with an empty can of paste wax. After a trip to Lowes/Home Depot, they began to apply the wax. Not using cheese cloth as recommended on the can, they applied the wax with household rags, resulting in various thicknesses of wax on the floor. They also forgot to bring a Lambs Wool buffing pad, again as recommended, and used nylon carpet remnants smearing the overly waxed floors. The moved the furniture back ending at 5PM on a Friday. I spent the next Saturday and Sunday removing portions of the wax and re-buffing with the appropriate pads.
