This was bs because we did the calculation before the start of work and I'm sure he had it planned to increase the price after wall went down. I paid it. They damaged my driveway and didn't fix it. The driveway doesn't look appealing how they left it. They put the wall up took the money and left. They were rude to my wife. I was out of state at the time so my wife was handling the management of this project mostly. The wall looks nice but lots of issues here for me. I give them a 2 for these reasons and will be using another company for future projects.

I contacted Jimmy at O'Neill and he came out on a Sunday to look at our house and go over some options. He emailed me an estimate the next day with several options. He recommend only repairing the right side of the house from the top of the windows down. Jimmy advised that the rest of the stone was in good shape. In his estimate he included repair the gaps around our windows and the door at the rear of our house. The option he recommend was the least expensive on his estimate. I appreciated Jimmy's honesty. He wasn't just out to make money. I accepted the estimate and the work started on a Friday. His masons were very professional and kept a very clean work area. My neighbors actually commented on how neat and friendly they were. They completed the work in (3) days. I was extremely impressed at the quality of their work. I would highly recommend O'Neill Masonry.

I'd spoken to Jimmie on many occasions and he'd kept promising me that I would receive my quotes. Never received. He seemed to be spending a lot of time down the shore in place of handling the business, admittedly by Jimmie. I would recommend not wasting your time. it's very frustrating because now my clients masonry work has been pushed back 2 months. Then, after a bit more back-and-forth, he agreed to cross the river to NY and tackle my job. He and his crew showed up right on time, and in one day had my old patio looking great. Our DIY patio had hit a standstill due to personal injury so Devin and his team were willing to pick up where we left off (which was essentially a mud puddle) and made it look wonderful. Punctual, friendly, hard-working team, but I think my favorite part of the experience was the free lesson on hardscaping/yard care. Devin explained each step and then at the end gave us tips on how to maintain the patio as well as the giant oak that's right next to it. Andrew and Steve are not just stone masons and have excellent skills in both interior and exterior construction that comes in handy when the unforeseen glitch pops up. For example they were able to reinforce the floor to support the very heavy weight of the pad and stove. While working in the basement on the floor reinforcement, Andrew noticed that there was a bump in the basement concrete floor that I lamented had been tripping me every time I did the laundry. Without hesitation, he went to his truck for some tools and remedied that rather large bump at no additional charge. Steve is an artisan, and created a real show piece backdrop to the Vermont castings red stove. The pattern and color variation he put forth is truly amazing and far exceeded my expectations. There was one stone that I felt was a little off in color, and they had no pushback, and were completely open to replacing it albeit while the stone had not fully set, but it was obvious their goal was 100% customer satisfaction. The cuts for outlets, windows, and ceilings were flawless and the mortar joints between stones was applied perfectly. I learned that Andrew is a 2nd generation mason, and he and Steve had been training under his dad since they were kids. I had to travel out of town, and had no worries leaving them the keys to finish the job. They are great communicators and completely trust-worthy. When icy cold rain was forecast Andrew called the night before to alert me of the threatening weather and left it that he would revisit the workday in the morning. He called bright and early to "ASK" if we could postpone a day as he would be cutting the stone and mixing mortar outside. I of course agreed. They also coordinated with the stove installers to help wrangle the very heavy stove pad onto the frame they had built. Andrew and Steve are team players and also a great team, with complimentary skills and eyes that truly ensures a beautiful job. They cleaned up every day and left the job, spotless with no debris. This is a scam. I signed a contract with them to get my patio work done. They came the first day…read more(though much later than they said), dug up the dirt, left the dirt in my backyard, and NEVER CAME BACK, even after numerous calls, texts, etc. No response from them! I did my due diligence by calling people they recommended. Two of the three told me their work with them was satisfactory, though I'm not sure if they actually did work with them. Because what they said to me and the "service" I've gotten from them is miles apart. The other review here by Shohruz is exactly what happened to me, but they have refused to answer my calls and texts. PLEASE DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. PART TWO: Owner responds to my review, saying that they've been trying to reach us. This is simply not true. I have text messages, calls, emails to prove it. So, please do not believe the response below. PART THREE: I emailed owner, as requested, to set things straight, but no response (again!). I will let you know if they ever set things straight, as they claim they want to do. I want to retract this very negative review (and urge folks not to work with this company) if and only if they set things straight. They took my money, and so far haven't done what they said they'd do. PART FOUR: They got in contact with me after I filed with the Better Business Bureau, and they're investigating. They scheduled another date, but they never showed up, claiming an "emergency" happened but never told me when they'd come. No response to my emails wanting a more definitive time they'd show up. Our roof was installed incorrectly and it looks absolutely awful. Although they are not the ones that installed the roof, they still take no responsibility and are not insisting it gets re-done. We moved in 13 months ago and have yet to schedule our one-year walk through. We have reached out multiple times to schedule because we have multiple issues and have never gotten a response. Their answering machine says you will get a response within 24 hours and we haven't had a response in over two weeks. If you buy from them... good luck!
