Their 365 brand foods are well-priced and better than many major grocery stores...hello Hearts of Palm! For a great dinner or party, the fresh/raw food counters are amazing. Their seafood is top notch, fresh, and the staff is super knowledgeable, one of the best things about this store! The seafood/lobster chowder of days past is sorely missed, and the current lobster bisque is a huge disappointment, IMO. There used to be a full aisle with containers of nuts and other bulk items, a great money saver, and a handy machine to make your own fresh peanut butter, but that has all disappeared. Great peanut butter only needs peanuts, contrary to what Skippy and Jif are selling you (sugar spread)! With nut allergies these days, I would attribute it partially to that, but Sprouts bulk section is still thriving after all these years. The folks at the cheese counter are my favorite! They can explain about 200 different cheeses and their subtle differences (by category), and are always happy to size down the rich-people portions for those of us who want to dip our toes and palates without losing our homes. I love the hot/cold food area, but wish I could roll back the calendar about 10 yrs. The prices are absolutely staggering, and the variety is just straight up boring these days. I miss the Tofu Stroganoff and other exciting veggie variations of comfort foods. The soups are always nearly empty and burning when I look now, anytime of day, and really unappealing. They used to be so full (they use containers half the size now to save money I assume, but it actually ruins it), smelled amazing, and filled with lots of bright ingredients, not just purée of whatever. If you know how to shop Whole Foods and where to find their brands and great prime deals, it's worth the trip. They always have some amazing items to catch your eye and/or tempt your palate, and the staff is absolutely the best! Just be prepared to know why it's called "Whole Paycheck" by those of us not in the 1%!

I first met Dr. Caplan in Mountain View, CA, where she was working inside a innovative gym set up…read moreby three or four awesome athletes, who after their athletic careers were over, decided to band together and create a gym for athletes of all ages and fitness levels to come to and become fit again. Dr. Caplan was instrumental in getting my body to let go of past hurts and hinderences. The body holds on to trauma for years, if not decades, and over time caused my body a lot of pain and immobility. This was not a quick 8 week fix by insurance standards, but took time and effort by the both of us to get my body to release the pain of high school softball injuries, a bicycle accident with a car, a roller coaster accident, and some sexual trauma. In addition, she is a doctor with an emphasis on FUNCTIONAL medicine, making sure your body is functioning correctly instead of making sure all your results match with the current lab standards set by the insurance companies. We humans are a unique species and no two of us are alike, except for identical twins and multiples of identical twins. Basically, what works for you might not work for me, and visa versa. With her help, she determined the root cause of a really bad case of dry mouth after eating a tuna fish sandwich. Turns out I am pretty much allergic to all grains, as well as soy (but I believe I knew that from the night sweats I would get after having miso soup, or Jamba Juices with soy protein). I am hypothyroid, anemic, basically, just effed up! lol. Working with her, and not my regular doctor who was treating me by what her textbooks said I was or should be, helped me to heal physically AND mentally as well as skeletally. I'd like to think I am now 5'9"! Most days I'm 5'8.25" more or less, but on those really good days.... I know because I have to adjust my rear view mirror after the session! Dr. Caplan has since moved to Colorado Springs, however I still consult with her with regard to my cortisol levels as well as other hormone levels with regard to menopausal issues, thyroid issues, B12 levels, energy levels while doing strength training. I find her fees acceptable and not outrageous. I don't use insurance for various reasons, but am not sure if she works with insurance. You'll have to ask. You will be extremely happy with Dr. Caplan be it chiropractic or functional. And, if recommended, go for the ART and Graston! Her technique is so gentle. I swear, I would PURR from the lovely sensations of relief I would get from the work. And, one does look rather "rad" when wearing kinesio-tape!

She gave me some great recommendations for how to help alleviate a lot of my symptoms and explained why I was having those symptoms in the first place. I don't think any other doctor would take the time to do that! I would highly recommend you see her for any health problems you may be having.
