Jennifer said she'd order extra pieces for breakage and told me I could return the extras for a refund. When the tile arrived, some pieces were broken. Jennifer first said they weren't cracked until my husband showed her the damage. The order also took more than twice as long as promised supposedly due to shipping but I was never told there might be a delay. I had to call to check on the order myself, which was frustrating. At one point, I was told the shipment was in Memphis and would arrive that day. I planned to pick it up the next morning and asked what time she'd be there. Later, she texted to say it hadn't even shipped. That back and forth was very frustrating. The final straw was when I tried to return the extra pieces, I was told no returns on special orders, the opposite of what I had been told before buying. My husband and I chose to support a local business, but next time, we'll go to a larger store like Home Depot or Lowe's, where we've had better customer service. After we left, I shared how disappointed I was, yet Jennifer texted my husband to apologize that, quote, his wife left mad, instead of contacting me, the actual customer. I found that unprofessional and disrespectful. Based on this experience, I can't recommend WW Supplies, and I'll be sharing my experience with friends and family.

If you can find what you want in the store, go for it. Nice selection of doors, cabinets,…read moreflooring, etc. BUT if you want to order something from there, you had better be prepared to wait for it (thought they'll tell you 2-3 weeks). I have now ordered three different things from them, and not a single thing has come in anywhere close to the time the told me. You simply can not plan a project around them fulfilling their end of the deal. One of their vendors seems especially bad (Heritage) for cabinets. Turns out they sent Heritage the order and they either lost it or ignored it. So they put it on "rush" - going to do it "that day". A week and a half after it was promised that time I got it. Excuse that time was that their shipping companies were overloaded. That last thing I ordered isn't time sensitive, though it is the very last thing of a project. It is the matching engineered stone sides for a vanity I got from them (which turns out to be warped by the way!). Last time I called - about two weeks after the "2-3 weeks" - they said they were coming from Mexico so didn't know when they'd be in. Seems they need new suppliers, or they should just stop using them. So don't waste your time ordering - everything is said 2-3 weeks, I haven't received anything in less than twice that, and usually they don't seem to know where anything is or when it is coming in. They just have pallets arrive, and until someone in the store goes through them manually they don't have any idea what is on them. A store is who the customer deals with, not the product vendor or the shipping company - but Surplus seems to want to blame everyone but themselves. Don't order from them - you've been warned!

No matter how busy things get, he always takes the time to answer our questions, keep us updated, and make sure everything is handled the right way. Building a home can be stressful, especially with the countless questions that come along with it, but Derek has never once made us feel like a burden. His professionalism, communication, and character truly reflect the level of customer service you receive with Summertown Metals. We've been so impressed with the experience that once our home is finished, we fully plan on using them again to build our shop as well. Could not recommend Derek and the Summertown team enough!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Summertown Metals--particularly with Matt,…read morewhom I understand is one of the owners--was extremely disappointing. I want to be clear: a check we issued was returned, and I take full responsibility for that. The check was written Monday or Tuesday, and Summertown Metals notified me around lunchtime Friday, immediately before Labor Day weekend. I was in a meeting and apologized. I explained that this was unusual and asked if I could correct the payment Tuesday morning. Rebecca, one of their secretaries, was very kind and told me that would be fine. Approximately two hours later, Rebecca called again and said the owner was coming--or sending someone--to remove the metal from my customer's property unless payment was made immediately. This was after I had already been told that Tuesday would be acceptable. I spent the rest of Friday trying to find a way to pay them, but my bank closed at 4:00 p.m., making a wire transfer or card-limit increase impossible. Summertown Metals continued calling until around 6:00 p.m. and sent a driver toward my customer's property to retrieve the panels. The driver remained in the area for several hours, even after I repeated that I could not resolve the banking issue until Tuesday. This placed my company and my customer in an extremely difficult position. My customer had approximately $30,000 invested in the project and began questioning whether to cancel because a supplier was threatening to remove materials already delivered to the jobsite. We spent the entire holiday weekend trying to reassure the customer. After the customer agreed to continue, I contacted Summertown Metals on Wednesday and explained that payment would be made later that day or the following morning. I was told, "Okay, thank you, sir." About 20 minutes later, someone from Summertown Metals arrived at my customer's property, photographed their vehicles, and threatened to place a lien on the property if payment was not made--even though my company was their customer, not the property owner. The representative waited nearly two hours for me to arrive. I met him and paid the balance because I had already committed to paying it. Unfortunately, I was left to repair the damage this situation caused with my customer. Again, I accept responsibility for the returned check and the payment delay. My complaint is not that Summertown Metals expected to be paid. My complaint is that they repeatedly agreed to one arrangement and then changed it within minutes, involved and pressured my customer, and threatened action at the customer's property over a matter that should have remained between their company and mine. Our company purchases approximately $15,000-$30,000 in materials every month from local suppliers. Based on this experience, Summertown Metals is no longer a company we will purchase from. I cannot trust their word or how they handle a difficult situation.

I found a dryer to purchase, bought it and scheduled delivery. My new dryer was delivered two days later. The delivery men hooked the dryer up, turned it on to make sure it heated up and left. Three days later, Saturday, I put a load of delicates in the dryer and lots of clanging and banging noise came out of the dryer. When I changed the fabric setting to "bulky" the noise wasn't as loud but it was still there. Sunday morning I went to Lowe's with my bill of sale and a video of the dryer making lots of noise. The lady at the Customer Service Desk was telling me since the dryer was new I needed to contact the manufacturer to get it repaired. I told her I wanted to swap the bad dryer for a new one. It made sense to me to swap. The discussion went back and forth about returning the dryer. If I could pick it up and return it to the store, I would have I pressed to call a manager to find out about swapping the bad dryer for a new one. The lady called a manager and he agreed I could swap the bad dryer for a new one. Yay! I scheduled the delivery and the next day another crew from Bessemer swapped out the dryers. This crew were born and raised in the USA. They understood what I was saying. It turns out Lowe's hires a third party contractor to deliver and set up appliances. These two men did a much better job of setting up the dryer. I was glad they came out for my delivery swap out versus the first two guys whose English wasn't good at all. The customer service from the two guys from the third party contractor was top notch. I am glad I purchased from Lowe's. I was treated very well.

They also installed crown molding and molding around my counter top (they even further stabilized it in a way I didn't know it needed for no charge). All of this was done for a very reasonable price and as I mentioned, swiftly. From demo to finishing touches, it took less than 3 days worth of work. I'd highly recommend them and if I have tile work in the future, they'll be the first I reach out to.
