Went on a holiday see a little mermaid. No line to get in, and no line at the concession stand . Surroundsound was great but the screen is not curved. Huge leather seats reclining very very comfortable. Spent about $35 on popcorn and drink and 3 snacks.

It's not as busy as Lakewood and Tacoma movie theaters. Was nice to actually have an empty row.

The chairs have not worked the last two times we have gone to see a movie! Super disappointing. Clean and nice theaters otherwise.

I absolutely love the idea of the reclining chairs and being able to pick your seat before the movie.

Nice Regal theater in Olympia! I was supposed to work an event today in Shelton which didn't quite…read morego according to plan but since I made an hour drive this way from Puyallup, I decided to do something fun in Olympia before going home and ended up here. Toy Story 5 is out and the kid in me LOVES Toy Story.. they are my favorite Disney movies that are animated and aren't Princess-related so I had to see Toy Story 5 and I decided to see it in a format I haven't watched a movie in before (Screen X). I was excited that they have Screen X as I've come close to seeing a movie in Screen X before but ended up not getting around to it. I lived in Idaho for a couple years and the Regal in Boise has different formats for movies like IMAX, Screen X and 4DX. I absolutely LOVE 4DX movies so that was my go to theater for that but I had it in the back of my mind to do Screen X sometime and recently found out that was something offered at this theater. It was nice to see what it was all about but honestly didn't feel it was anything that special. The Screen is basically extended with projections on the sides of the auditorium during key parts of the movie but the images on the sides are darker, not nearly as bright as the screen in front of you and they are blurry looking. It was honestly kind of distracting. I originally wanted to do 3D with Screen X but then decided because I've never seen a movie in Screen X to just do regular Screen X to see if I actually like the format first and I'm glad I went that route because maybe the 3D would have enhanced the side screens a bit more but I could see it also possibly being overwhelming and disorienting if I did it with the 3D. I know alot of people say they think that 4DX is distracting and overwhelming to the senses with the moving seats but honestly I would much rather have watched this in 4DX.. Sadly they don't have 4DX at this theater though and the only theater in Washington that does is the Regal in downtown Seattle. It would be nice if they added 4DX as an option here as I'd rather make the long drive here than fight all the traffic in Seattle to get there but I know it's extremely expensive for them to convert even one auditorium to the 4DX seats so that likely won't be happening any time soon if ever. Overall though, I LOVED the movie and the theater was very nice! I didn't get any concessions today as I felt it would be more worth it to hit up the Wendy's drive thru after for the minion meal, but I do enjoy Regal's Sips by Pepsi- give them a try if you haven't! They cost a bit less than a regular soda or even the small icee and they have unique flavors like a Cotton Candy lemonade topped with real cotton candy and cotton candy boba!! Enjoy ;)

The volunteers and director here are absolutely fabulous and commit so much to the local community here. Went to an event they hosted with world renowned author and activist Angela Davis and the team did a fantastic job collaborating with organizations and Evergreen State College to put on a well thought out and organized event. I would definitely keep an eye out for more events that center marginalized communities.

Some seats have springs coming out. You will be amazed at how dirty and stained these seats are. It's way too cold in the winter and way too hot in the summer. No ventilation at all which is crazy. Movies frequently start late and/or something is wrong with the sound and picture. They use volunteer projectionists and it shows! The bathrooms are incredibly small and incredibly gross. Main floor bathroom is single occupant (!) which isn't great when there's a few hundred people in attendance. The customer service is always awful. Ticket seller is grumpy and rude for no apparent reason. Concessionaires are slow and confused. They're volunteers too, of course. Hopefully the theater will be sold soon. It's time someone else had a turn with the place.

I wanted to allow our friends and family time to talk about the meaningful times that we were lucky enough to spend with a man that meant so much to so many. Since I live in Portland, I knew it would be challenging to find a space online. I grew up in Olympia, and it has changed a lot. I found somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 possibilities. When I stumbled across the website for the Abigail Stuart House, it just felt right. I called Carolyn, who rents the house and found out that it was available for the 26th when I needed it. We scheduled a tour for the Friday prior. Perfect. The rental included tables, chairs, a very roomy full kitchen with all kinds of serving trays and cooking utensils, an oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Most places didn't have such a full set up. For the most part things have to be rented separately. The only thing we needed to provide were tablecloths. Easy. Since it's an historic property it has a lot of charm. High ceilings, hardwood floors, a foyer with space to hang coats, a parlor with comfortable sofas and cushy chairs. The parlor also has a baby grand piano, and gas fireplace. There is a bathroom on the main floor, as well as a men's and women's restroom upstairs. There is room to accommodate up to 150 in the main room. Plenty of space for everyone. Carolyn gave me the tour, and I paid on the spot. They only charge $400 all inclusive for the full day and night, with a $250 refundable deposit. You don't even have to clean. We only needed to put away the tables and chairs, and place anything from the kitchen that we used in the dishwasher before we left. It wasn't rented Saturday, so she was kind enough offer it to me for an additional $100 so that I could set up beforehand. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to do so. I don't think you can find such an affordable deal anywhere! They're incredibly easy to work with. It's centrally located downtown, and has a parking lot to accommodate 22 cars. There is also ample street parking. It would be ideal for wedding receptions, reunions, or about anything else you might need. I was able to pick up my full deposit the following Tuesday morning. I can't recommend them highly enough. Take a look at their website, and see for yourself. The money from the rental also benefits many local charities, as an added bonus.
