Before finding Kat, we struggled for over 6 months in Austin's stressful seller's market. As first-time homebuyers, we felt completely overwhelmed. That all changed when we were introduced to Kat. Within 3 months, we closed on our first home. My top 3 reasons for recommending Kat: 1) Kat knows not only Austin, but also its surrounding areas (Bastrop, Elgin, Wimberley, etc). Though we looked at homes in Austin, we ended up in Spicewood. It was great to have a realtor whose knowledge was so expansive. 2) Kat has the experience to get your offer selected in a competitive market. We were in a multiple offer situation, and though our offer wasn't the highest, it was selected - all thanks to Kat's skills! 3) Kat truly cares about YOU as a person. She is passionate about understanding what you want and doing everything in her power to make it happen. Without a doubt, Kat will be our go-to realtor the next time we are ready to sell or buy.

If you are in the round lake beach community or surrounding area- avoid renting with Luigui Corrals…read moreTeam. I rented a home from him for over 6 years and it was a horrible experience the last few years. When I first moved in the house was beautiful it had been re-done. I quickly noticed that it was done in a hurry and very cheaply. There was no washer and dryer in the house, nothing in the closets, no blinds. I put two units in, added blinds and curtains at my own cost, added shelving to the closets so I could actually use them. There were other weird things like there was nothing in the bathroom, no mirror, no shower curtain or bar to hang the curtain. He needed a renter and clearly fast. As I started living there the house started falling apart. The foundation was bad, they left large open holes under the house until an inspector came and told them they had to fix it and the shed that was literally missing the sides of the unit. He had someone come in and put boards around the house and fix the shed. Not nicely but to make sure they couldn't come back and say it wasn't done. The windows on the house never locked. The house was shifting due to the foundation being cracked and broken. Which also caused the doors to now lock properly. The house was literally tilted to the back side and sinking. Soon the floors started cracking, the ceiling, the walls. The storm door rusted and fell off. The mailbox was too short and they stopped delivering my mail. I notified him and his team multiple times about the conditions and they did nothing. I eventually replaced the mailbox myself, was never reimbursed and then found a solution to lock the windows myself with something I purchased on Amazon, my step dad came and changed the locks for me and I added other security measures to the home so I could lock the doors. The house did not have central AC so I had to get window units. He did supply a few when I first moved in but they were black, dusty, gross and looked like they had mold growing on them. I never used them for fear I would get sick. Again I shared the units were not in usable order and he said to move them into the shed with no other solution. Soon winter came the heat went out frequently. Often times he left me without heat because he refused to pay for a new furnace even though he had been told many times that it needed to be replaced. Years into my stay the house developed a leak in the roof in the laundry room that leaked everytime it rained. I sent pictures and vidoes of the steady water leaking into the house and never got a response back. Soon the critters started coming into the room in the roof/ attic. They were in the walls etc. the house had mice, that got inside through the damage. Never fixed anything or responded to me. There were a series of other issues that happened when I was living there but if you're still reading. Stay away from him and his team. They do not take care of their properties, they do not take care of their tenants and he's a horrible person to deal with. If you need a place to stay do not rent from him. He will take advantage of you, blame you for things around the property that are his negligence. Trying to save people the headache and experience I went through.

Before…read morechoosing a real estate agent, I conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice based on the care they take into selling and finding he properties (time and effort) and how they promote their listings. Nora Carrillo stood out as one of the best in the area we were looking (IL counties, Dupage, Lake , Cook, McHenry etc.). We spoke with Nora and then met with her at our home. She spent hours answering our questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, and provided tons of info on the area. I've recommended Nora to everyone I know. She's a true professional and a genuinely nice person. Nora made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps many other Realtors don't (but should), like having all the details on neighborhoods and the home itself.

My…read morefiancé and I were still living in California at the time but were starting our search for a new home in Lake Geneva, WI. My initial interaction with Sal was over the phone. We spoke for nearly an hour. He patiently listened as I shared our wish list for not only homes but for vacant lots as well. He collected our preferences and curated daily email updates with homes and lots for sale. Sal was always there when we had questions about properties, and we spoke several times by phone over a nine-month period. We finally flew out to look at homes and property this past April. Sal was prepared and so buttoned down. He had information about each of the properties (and directions) all individually printed out and presented in a nice packet. We spent an entire day looking. Sal always provided sound and honest feedback when we asked questions about the properties. When we found our dream home, Sal was right there and advised us on making an offer that would give us the absolute best chance for the seller to consider accepting our offer. And it worked, the seller immediately accepted our offer. Since we were moving cross country, Sal was so supportive during the interim period before closing with recommendations for movers, lists of utilities, was present for home inspections when we couldn't be there, etc. Not sure what we would have done without him. Working with Sal was like working with a dear friend rather than a real estate agent. There are so many things to love about Sal. He is knowledgeable, kind-hearted, professional, caring, genuine, honest, and was incredibly responsive which is impressive when you consider the time zone differences. If he didn't pick up a call, he would always call back right back or text stating when he'd get back to us. Through the entire process, Sal looked out for us and always had our best interests in mind. We consider ourselves extremely lucky and blessed to have had Sal as our realtor and now friend! We will eternally be grateful that he helped us find our forever home.
