LAYOUT: Four glass swinging doors, security check with walk-through metal detector, which is very sensitive, stairs and a ramp up to second floor, no elevator, many, modern courtrooms, oddly, electric plugs in rooms 10 feet high on walls [2]. Courtroom #5 with 2 doors, had carpet, 66 spectator chairs of, railing separates audience from the court, judge desk on back left with witness stand beside; podium in back middle, with Court Reporter and Bailiff Desk behind, lawyers' desks on back right, adequate florescent lighting DECORE: Audience chairs plastic and metal, witness, lawyer, and clerk Chairs padded fabric, judge chair similar, but larger; doors and railing wood; walk clock, justice seal, American and Puerto Rico flags AIR CONDITIONED: too cold [3] HOURS OF OPERATION: 8:30 am-5 pm Monday-Friday TYPE: Courthouse BATHROOM: A bit run down and 2 of the 3 stalls were out of toilet paper and the soap dispenser was empty on both days. Good paper towels. SECURITY: Pretty good security check, but not perfect. Armed policemen everywhere NOISE LEVEL: acoustics are okay, but lawyers are loud.
